We did Sesame Street for G's first birthday and I saved all the stuff so he's getting that! I mean who doesn't like a Cookie and milk buffet?! We have a big pool so as soon as I had a summer due date we knew all parties where going to be first and foremost pool themed for this kid!
Hadn't thought about it until reading this thread. She was born on the 4th of July so maybe fireworks themed? Haven't decided if we will do it on the 4th or if too many people will be out if town
Now I'm getting a little obsessed with this. I got on Etsy and found so many adorable handmade birthday hats and crowns...
I think I might just make one for her. I'm really crafty. I've sewn blankets, burp cloths, jumpers and dresses for her. How hard can a felt hat or crown be?

My LO was soooo close to being a 4th of July baby but decided to get tangled up in the cord and ended up as a c-section on the 5th...I'll probably still combine his birthday with the holiday though because why not.
Beary+ghastly - If you do, will you post a how-to?
Yea, definitely! I'm sure you can do it with fabric, a cereal box/poster board, felt and fabric glue. And whatever accessories you want to add, like lace, pom poms and piping. I could probably do it under 10$, versus the 25$ + shipping some of these etsy sellers want. No thanks!
Sprinkles will be my theme. What all I do with it will depend on how big we decide to make it. We will definitely have close family, but we're debating on whether or not we are going very big with friends to this one. We will not be having large parties for every year though. I've found some really cute things online for a sprinkle theme.

Yea, we're probably only having close family and friends at her party- probably a total of 20-24 people
I have no freaking clue. It's five months from now. I might not even have a theme, and if I do, it might just be whatever is on sale at the party store. (Or maybe Disney because we are huge Disney fans.)
+1
I think I mentioned this when it came up earlier this week, but I'm considering just taking E to Disneyland. We have no family here other than my sister and I know she'd love to come to the park with us. So we can get the first cake pics, I'd do a little something at home just for the three of us -- or four, if my sister can make it across town for dinner.
This is our plan - First Birthday, First Trip to Disneyland.
Re: What theme are you doing for LO's 1st birthday?
Wow! Small world!
