  Here in Iowa it is supposed to -50 windchill Sun night - Tues morning. They are calling it "life threatening cold" and are calling off schools already. I just pray the power stays on!

  I lived in North Dakota up until 4 years ago and I can't say I miss the negative temps, having to use block heaters, getting up early to start the car praying it started and still having to live normal life because they didn't find it necessary to close anything down. I like that the weather where I live now is 40 degrees and while everyone else is complaining I'm all "this is nice..."

  I was outside this morning feeding the horses. I was out there less than 10 mins. I didnt have gloves on. My hands were so cold when I came in. Also my nose hairs felt like they were frozen when I breathed in. I think it was 1 degree when I fed them but I don't know what that actually felt like

  Where my fiance's parents live in Wisconsin the windchill temps are expected to drop into the -70s. Where I live they will be -50s.  Thank GOD I'm in Florida on vacation!!
