I made a whole recipe of English Toffee on the weekend knowing we still have christmas baking and were pretty much done any holiday entertaining. I'll get to eat most of it, but I'll also complain that I'm not losing weight and I do work out...I just haven't changed my eating habits at all and it needs to happen.....after the toffee is gone!

On New Year's Day I made 3 different dishes all involving bacon before noon. I didn't eat them all right then but bacon was involved in every meal that day. Pretty sure that kind of behavior isn't part of anyone's resolutions for the year.

Also I'm sick of seeing my kids faces, and even DH's for that matter. We have been on break since the 20th and I was supposed to go back to work today but now we're snowed in and then it's the weekend. I'm so sick if being all together under one roof all.day.long.

We did this last friday and we played rock paper scissors to determine who got to drink during the movie (Cinebistro so they have a full bar) so that one can stay sober enough to drive and pick up Colton from daycare. I won and drank a whole bottle of prosecco during the movie. It was awesome.

Mmm. When I lived in NYC, a girlfriend and I used to hang out at the Alamo near Cooper Union and oogle the skater boys.

Another confession, my kid's crib is a SIDS nightmare. It's only like this during naps but I can't get him off of me without something snuggly by his face and something like a lovie to grab and chew and he loves his blankie too. I check on him like every 15 minutes but still, I'm breaking all the rules here!

The idea of puréed meat grosses me out. I keep trying to give DD meat off the table because I refuse to make puréed meat. I also give DD my MILs food to eat when we are over there, even though MIL cooks with a lot more salt then I do. She makes veggies and meat that I don't make at home and I figure a few spoonfuls once a week isn't going to hurt DD.

I can see that I'm probably going to spend hours that I should spend doing laundry sitting on Zillow instead. We aren't even going to start house hunting until February, but clearly I like to torture myself. I already have fallen in love with a house about 4 streets from where we are renting, I love our location. But, it will probably sell and I will be sad.

I think it probably comes down to you can't read tone in type. Or, you "think" you can, and you are totally wrong about it. I'm one of those annoying people who overuse "lol" when I think that the tone of whatever I'm saying might come across wrong. I'm a people pleaser. Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and don't like people mad at me. I guess that should be my confession. I'm almost 30 and still a people pleaser. Sheesh.

This is me except I use smiley faces instead of lol's in posts when I worry about offending people.

@nykkolaughs I don't think you sound harsh or condescending. I appreciate your matter-of-fact tone, but I don't think it comes off as bitchy. Sometimes people are too sensitive these days...

@araziza Magic has replace League of Legends (which just caused anger in him) which replace Star Craft. I'm hoping this hobby sticks because he is pretty mellow with it and present with the family. He spends hours building decks and putting them in sleeves.

I just looked down while E was nursing and there's poop on her ear lobe from this morning's insane blowout. I had to do her laundry, give her a bath, got poop in my wedding ring, and she peed all over the bed when I laid her down to run the bath. Adventures in parenting.

@tiffletons518 I don't hate her but I don't like her. She's annoying but she was the only thing on and I needed to get ready. Didn't want to fuss with netflix so I could keep him distracted for 10 minutes. I was hoping bubble guppies was on!

This was Bradley. Even now he only snuggles when he gets hurt or sick. But he is a very sweet kid (last night before bed he said "I love you mommy sooooo much"). I understand your jealousy but am happy that Ty is more of a snuggler
