Well my midwife hasn't done a cervical check since I had my swab at 35 weeks and she told me I was closed, hard and high. HA! I'm now at the tail end of 37 weeks and no signs that anything has changed at this point. As a matter of fact, after a few days of R&R, I feel better today than I have in a couple weeks. Ironic, eh?

Two weeks ago I was 1 cm, 70%, no plug, head down, baby very low. I have my next appointment tomorrow and hope to hear I've progressed. I have been feeling more crampy so I hope that is a good sign.

No cervical checks for this gal until 39w (currently 36+5). My pelvis hurts like a mofo and this little dude has been head down for the past 3 visits. If I am cholestasis free, we'll see how this plays out. If the labs come back positive, they will be inducing so right now it's a waiting game. My vagina is a trooper! I keep reminding myself that pain is progress towards meeting my baby.

DAMNIT! Just learned I am 0 dilated and 0 effaced, cervix is a rock and baby is as high as can be. I'm almost 39 freaking weeks and they are inducing me Tuesday. I hope something happens this weekend...

I'm 39 weeks (due January 8) and no action to report. My midwives don't do regular cervical checks, but I haven't noticed any contractions or anything. I'm pretty sure I'll be going past my due date, which honestly is fine with me. I still have a lot to do to prepare for this baby! My midwives will let me go 2 weeks, maybe more, beyond my due date.

I'm 36wk2d today, and at my last cervical check (34wk4d) I was 2.5cm dilated and softening. My OB doesn't do cervical checks unless necessary, so I don't think I'll be having another one unless something happens, or closer to 40wks, as they won't let me go over for medical reasons.

Ugh! I've been so out of the loop lately.

I spent 6 hours in L&D on Sunday night because of contractions that ended up at 3-4 minutes apart…but never strengthened beyond "mild" and did nothing to increase dilation past .5 cm and a cervix that seems to be running the opposite direction.

Baby & I have been measuring small for the past 2 weeks, so I am having an ultrasound done next week for possible IUGR. I'm not going to believe them when they say baby is still within normal range.

I am sooooo mentally done with this pregnancy. When you are basically told to plan for a likely early deliver at roughly 30 weeks…waiting out every day and week seems to take forever. Not to mention the twice weekly NST's, weekly dr. appts since 34 weeks and now adding in monthly to weekly ultrasounds. I am done.

My blood pressure today was the highest it's been the entire pregnancy…so I'm still on "high alert" for issues. I'm ready for this to be over. If nothing happens sooner, my RCS is scheduled for January 21st. It was supposed to be January 17th….but my doctor decided that the 21st was better. lovely. [i'm in a very positive mood today if you can't tell]

@labpupluv - have your pressures been running high? Any pre e symptoms, labs ok, protein in urine? If not I would see about waiting because your cervix is not very favorable and it would suck to be a failed induction if you have been controlling your bp and your labs are fine.

Last week I was 3cm and 70% effaced, which thrills me bc I'm going for a vbac and I feel like at least my body has started to do something. Appointment tomorrow morning so we'll see if there's anymore progress.

@Roses87 thanks for checking up on me! It would really suck to have a failed induction and I'd almost just prefer a planned c section in that case. Today my doctor said I am spilling a little protein and I gained 3 lbs from last week. My bp was 138/91 and 141/87 then later on 136/85 but at home it's better tho. I stress out each time they put that stupid cuff on me. Baby passed the NST with flying colors and my fundal height measured 39. I don't know what to think.

36 wk checkup today and 2cm 60% effaced. Pretty similar to DD1 who was 1-2 and 50% at this checkup. She was 3cm at our 37 wk checkup and I had her right at 38 wks. I feel like this just got real and maybe I should get a bag packed!

I had my appointment today and will be 36w tomorrow, but my OB said that while my cervix is till closed its at 50% and LO is at -1 station so its just a matter of time!

I have my next appointment this week. So far I'm only at a two (had to explain to DH why there was no reason to get excited) and as of last week, I'm just beginning to thin out. LO has dropped and her head is starting to engage, which explains why walking has gotten more and more difficult.

I'm 40 weeks tomorrow (my due date!) and I also have my first cervical check and sweep. I've had no signs of impending labor whatsoever.

Had my 38w appointment today and I'm 1cm. My OB's exact words were "at least you're not closed". Thanks for the pep talk lol

I went in to L & D a few weeks ago for left sharp side pain and contractions. I had 2 different nurses check me within an hour of each other and both said I was 2.5cm, -3 station. At 36W the PA at my OB's office said I was 1cm. I know everyone's fingers are different but it seems odd to me that I went backwards. Of course my OB didn't check me on Monday at 37W, so I really have no idea what's going on down there.

Funny, I'm scheduled for my c-section on 40 weeks 1 day as well and my husband and I are also terrified I go into labor before that point! Hope everything works out great for you guys.

I had an appt on tues with an OB I hadn't seen before. I'm due the 15th and according to him and a literal 2 second cervical check (was my 1st check so was a bit surprised it was literally only 2 seconds and he could tell so much....) I was 20% effaced and a finger tip dialated. see my normal OB next tues and will see where I'm at again. Here's to hoping we don't go past the due date and OB said we will talk induction at 40 wk appt for 41 weeks....

36w appointment last night. no cervical checks until 39w and I couldn't even get her to begin to guess a delivery date even just for fun - she doesn't want to start the pool until next week :P no rush yet though my bun is still baking

Haven't done a cervical check since 33 weeks and I was shut tight at that time. Dunno how my cervix is until next week Friday at my appointment. I rather go into labor before then than to have a cervical check actually lol.
