We bought a Formula Pro also. Well when I said "we" I really mean my husband who went to Babies R Us while I was next door at Carter's with DS. He says it will be worth every penny at 3 am.

Just a few onesies, mostly neutral, one sleeper that is for a girl but if we don't have a girl I'll pass it on to my good friend who is due in Feb with a baby girl. This is our first and we've already been told to pick out the crib, car seat and stroller, bassinet, and pack n play from various family members because they want to buy them for us. We're opting for all neutral big ticket items, so we already picked those out. I also have my eyes on two sets of quilting fabrics and am ready to buy as soon as we find out so the quilt can start being made!

Does it heat the water? I always worry about heating because I won't be out and about and be able to heat every bottle. With DD I used room temp water ever time.

Neutral on big ticket is a great idea. You can resell your stuff easily or enjoy it for other kids. We were Team Green first pregnancy so everything is neutral until 3 month clothes. Then I went bat shit crazy with pink and purple.

It does heat the water. Just to around 98.6 degrees. We heated DS's bottles at home, and gave him room temp bottles when we were out and about. He never had any problems going back and forth.

We purchased a glider/ottoman and two nightstands and lamps for the nursery so far (took advantage of Cyber Monday sales). We also bought some Canada/hockey books while visiting IL's for Christmas, and I purchased one neutral hat/bootie/blanket set.

After my next appointment the 8th, I plan on starting to research the items we want so we can start looking for deals.

I bought a nursing pillow and car seat cover/liner on Black Friday because they were free except for shipping. Other than that, I can't bring myself to buy anything. It stresses me out too much thinking of everything I'm going to need and finding a place to store it all.

I used both versions of A+A blankets to swaddle! Both worked well! The Target versions are still a good size.

Not sure about the smaller ones. I felt like we needed the extra fabric because DS was almost 22 inches. I'm sure we would have figured it out though. Either way, they are much better than receiving blankets. We used those for on the go changing pads. Easy to wash and small.

It can be VERY addicting. Before DS was born, I started collecting books. He probably has two to three hundred books now and I am still going. I work at a University where book sales happen often and I was able to buy through a few scholastic orders before he was even born. And I've heard that they have one less layer. If the boutique ones have 4 layers the target ones have 3 layers.

You can never have too many books! We have tons already, but I have my hopes set on some of the BabyLit ones if this babe's a girl. I've seen Romeo and Juliet, Pride and Prejudice, Alice in Wonderland, etc. on Amazon. I already bought the A Christmas Carol one for the boys but it wasn't as popular as The Polar Express this year.

So far it looks like I'm the only one who does not think the Target brand are as good as standard A and A. I feel like they don't get as soft after washing them. FWIW- Amazon the prices drop easily on A and A. That's how I got the bamboo ones for DD.

The only Target version we have are the issies. I guess I would say they aren't as soft, but I was just assuming it's because they are so small. The dream blankets are glorious. And the four layer sleep sack is the best thing ever.

I just posted a PSA on the Nursery Board. . . If you can get four swaddles for under $30, that is a great deal. Right now the Oh Boy Pattern is on Amazon for $25 for four swaddles.

I swear I do not work for A and A, I'm a third grade teacher. But there are many of us with a serious addiction to their products. They are huge and good for everything. My two year old sleeps with a little one (issie) each night and also carries it around with her. Then she sleeps with a swaddle on her. We also have the Dream Blanket for her crib as opposed to a crib set. Watch Amazon! The prices drop and you have a lot of time. I got her Dream Blanket for $33, that is a fricken steal!

The seller is not Amazon right now. When Amazon is out, it defaults to the next seller. This is normally when the prices go up. I looked up the black one and it was actually $250 at the beginning of December for a few days! You have time. Be an Amazon stalker and don't settle for BRU prices. You'll get your black one
