DD has been sleeping anywhere from 8-10 hour stretches for about a week now. I'm praying it sticks. She's a little over 5 weeks old. I feel pretty damn lucky.
DD is 2.5 weeks old and has been doing a 5-6 hour stretch the last few nights. We'll see if it sticks! She's also been sleeping in the RnP and I wanna switch to the mini crib in our room. We'll see if that makes a difference since she seems to much prefer the RnP.
3.5 is about his longest but hrs onlyn2.5 weeks old. He goes to bed at 9pm and sleeps until 8:30 am but he wakes every +/- 3 hours. Still not complaining at all, he just nurses and goes back to sleep.
I get 3 to 3.5 hours since she goes about 4 hrs from beginning of BFing to beginning of next session. She's a little over 5 wks and pedi said 5 hr stretch max which we've never made it to.
LO is also 2.5 weeks old and will do 3-4 stretches throughout the night. It was consistent then I started bragging about it and now it's not. She's so young though, I know it'll continue to change throughout the weeks.
LO is about 3.5 weeks and I'm getting about 3 to 3.5 hours out if him. He seems to be on a routine of waking me up twice: once around 1:30-2 and again between 5-6.
We're about 3-4 at night at 4 weeks. She could go longer during the day which I'm trying to stop.
@heaven802002 I stopped waking once she was back at birth weight (well, besides now when she wants to go 4-6 hours during the day). That was according to our pedi so you may want to check what yours says.
I'm so jealous of all of you. I don't sleep. DS2 is up every 2 hours and that's including the time I'm nursing so at most I get 1.5 hours of sleep at a time and 2 hours is a long stretch for him usually its less. DS1 wakes up at 5:30 every morning on top of this so that's when my day starts. I'm going crazy trying to take care of him and my toddler by myself exhausted all day.
LO is 5 weeks and hasn't gone longer than 3 hours. She still has her days and nights mixed up though, her main alert period is 3-8 am every day. It's pretty awful.
Those whose babies are going 8-10 hours, are you breastfeeding? Don't your boobs hurt going that long between feeds?
He just started going the occasional three hours between feedings last night. Usually he wants to eat at least every two hours. He's 2.5 weeks now and I'm tired! I try to stay in bed until I've slept at least 5-6 hours combined.
Jeter goes about 8 hours. Even his surgeon said that's fine as long as he's eating during the day, not throwing up, and shows weight gain at follow up. He'll be 1 month tomorrow. During the day he's taking 2oz of formula every three hours post-op. He's beginning to still act hungry so we'll probably bump to 3 oz soon.
I am really jealous now! My LO is almost 6 weeks and has been waking up every hour at night! The longest stretch we ever had was 3 hours... I will be talking to his doc on my next appointment.
DD is 4 weeks today. She has been doing 3-4 hour stretches at night since about 1.5 weeks old, but is up for at least an hour in between. Last night she did have a 4.5 hour stretch, but then her next one was just 2.5.
My older DD didn't have 3-4 hour stretches til she was several months old, so I am ecstatic with little Mia here.
My son is 1 month old and usually sleepes for 2.5 to 3 hours a night. That is from the start of one feeding to the next. We did have one stretch of 4 hours and an amazing 5 hour stretch once. Wish that was the norm.
@mh89 She'll usually fall asleep around 8:00. I nurse her and then I'll pump them empty again before I go to bed. When she wakes up they're really full, so I'll feed her and then pump again. But, yes, they get pretty engorged some nights.
LO is a month & 2 days old. He usually sleeps 3-4 hour stretches at night. But the past couple days he's been sleeping more like 4-4.5 hours. I hope he keeps this up.

I have a bit of an OS/OAL problem so I do wake up with leaky, engorged boobs but tell myself it's helping the OS! ...not sure if that's true but I like my sleep! If she keeps up with this pattern I'll start pumping one side in the morning before or right after she eats from the other to get a freezer stash going but want to get through the 3 week growth spurt first.
Dd is 3 weeks old and sleeps in 5 hour stretches at night. She would sleep longer than that but I wake her up. She had so many problems at the beginning learning to eat and lost a bunch of weight, so I don't like to let her go too long. Maybe after she hits her birth weight again I will let her sleep longer.
DS is 2 months and 1 day and sleeps in 3 hour stretches. But he was a preemie so I don't know if that makes any difference because his due date was 12/29 so realistically he should be doing what a newborn does.
It varies day to day, but it's between 3-5 hours. We let DD sleep through the night and wake us up when she's hungry, but wake her up after 4 hours during the day to feed her.
DD is 3 weeks old and usually I get one 3.5 - 4 hr stretch and then every 2 hours after that.

This is perfect, I have felt so clueless about this as well. Can I just ask a really silly question for further clarity? Sorry, I blame exhaustion on my inability to clearly comprehend... So... if DD eats at 8:45 and say finishes in a half hour, I can let her sleep until she wakes up to eat??? I'm fearful of letting her go too long between feedings. But last night it was obvious she could have slept more than 2.5 hours in between feedings. Should I just let her if thats what she is telling me? I got decent sleep last night as I woke her up every 2- 2.5 hours to eat, I just don't want to cause a problem for her. I'm a crazy FTM... I am also going to the pedi today for the first time, so I can get a gauge on her weight gain.

Definitely ask the pedi when you go in today whether you should still be waking the baby up. If she's gotten back up to birth weight and doesn't have any other growth concerns, they'll likely tell you to let her sleep. Definitely worth asking, though.
Little ones do much of their growth during sleep so that's one reason I'm happy to let DD sleep, especially at night (I still don't let her go more than 3 hours during the day, but don't necessarily wake her, just make it more likely she'll wake up by taking her blanket off of her or lying her down if I've been holding her, etc.) since she's been back at birth weight and a big girl as it is (born 9lbs 12oz). The extra sleep for me is definitely helpful too!!!
Thanks @BlueCards I am definitely going to confirm with the pedi today. She was 6 lbs 8oz at birth and dropped to 6 lbs 1oz before leaving hospital, so hopefully she has gone up! She looks like she has definitely put on weight, but what do I know. I want her to sleep for that very same reason too, I want her to be growing big and strong since she is so tiny.
J is one month old today. She has been doing one long stretch of 5.5-6 hrs for the past few nights after her 3 week spurt. I started doing the newborn-3mth phase of the Baby Whisperer with her, which coincides with the better sleep and more settled baby. Coincidence or not, my husband is declaring his love for Tracy Hogg, may she R.I.P.
Re: How much night sleep
I'm jealous of those who get a longer stretch. I'm exhausted
