I voted yes! I done them with my older 2 and I love looking back at them it reminds me of the shoot and how much fun it was to dress and pose them. I am having twins, my mom is a photographer along with several of my close friends and they are all chomping at the bit to do a photo shoot lol. We will def be doing some I can't wait
DD was done by my SIL and DS was a model for local photographer who teaches other photographers "safe" photography (www.kelleyryden.com and www.traceyraver.com). His pictures were later published in their calendars and even a book of nursery rhymes. I love that keepsake
By DS modeling the session and proofs were free. If we were to do this on our own it would cost well over $1,000 and hubby will definitely not allow it. So I will probably find someone else this time around
Posed ones completely creep me out, but that's just me. The ones where they have their head in their hands and stuff - so NMS. We did get newborn shots done and they were worth every penny because I absolutely love them, but they were more candid and not really posed. At the end of the day it's what YOU want, you'll be the one looking at them forever. Just find a photographer that matches your style and go through their portfolios to make sure you like what you will be getting!
I voted no way Jose! for poses that look all bent. There is a popular pose now where the feet are up by the face with hands propping the head. That looks awkward and I would never allow it with my own baby. I am probably going to get newborn pics, but think I would like most of the shots to be family shots and mommy/baby daddy/baby shots since we can do the other ones ourselves.

Re: Opinions on Posed Newborn Pictures?
We did them with DD and DS.
