I'm only 36w but will work until I go into labor (desk job). I took last week off because boys had off from school but now am ready to get back to finishing up all my work stuff in the next weeks.
Working until I go into labor but I still have some weeks left (I hope!) I'm trying to get my maternity leave plan in place and all my transition documents ready. I'm not planning to come back to my position when I am back from leave so I am handing things off for good. I work from home so my problem is sticking to work and not getting distracted by the other things in the house that need to get done.
Still working, but I'm bringing up the rear of the month. Things have just started to get uncomfortable the past couple of days. I'm a bank teller so I'm on my feet for a majority of the day, mostly just standing in one spot which really blows. I come home and my feet are so swollen.
As of right now, the plan is to work until I go into labor. Unfortunately for me, I made that decision when I was still feeling pretty good. We'll see what happens. Right now I'm taking it a week at a time but soon I'm pretty sure I'll go day by day. DH seems to understand thand I'm nearing the end of my rope so he has stepped up. Without him, I don't know what I'd do
I'm still working at 37w+4 days. I have a really laid back desk job though. The controller at my office would prefer if I didn't work, but with no paid maternity leave, I'm saving all my PTO for after baby is here.
Going back on Thursday until my due date (Jan 17). It should be an interesting two weeks so it's the start of the semester for us and that is usually a little on the busy side. Plus my coworker will be back from her month vacation and I've missed her dearly That should make the next two weeks fly by. Not looking forward to the long commute again... or having to get dressed everyday.
While I was hoping the baby might come while we were on break, I try to keep reminding myself that I haven't talked to HR about my maternity leave yet so I need to do that before baby arrives!
I am still at work, but I am going to beg my doctor to write me out of work next Monday, when I will be 37 weeks. I CAN work from home, but there are certain people who work here that feel much safer being able to just walk over and ask me questions. But, once I am armed with a note, I doubt I will get much flack about it.
I'm working (desk job) and I am 38w 3d. I am working up until I feel like I am done. My boss is off this week so I would love to last until Friday to take advantage of working without her here. I do not have a set day, I told her when I feel done that will be my last day (she was good with that). I'm taking off 6 months so I want every last hour to go towards my leave. Since I will be out for so long, I need this week to get my files and projects in order. I'm very lucky that my "replacement" will be the same person I took over for when she retired so she already knows the job. She will only be here M,W,F 9-1 so just the basics but not needing to train someone is wonderful. DH is off work so it does make it difficult to go in when I just want to lay in bed with him!
I do feel very tired so I'm not really working full days but since I am management it technically counts as a full day if I come in for half a day. Everyone has been supportive and they tell me I should go home early and rest, so some days I do! I ususally go home everyday for lunch but I can't do that anymore. If I go home, I am staying home so I bring food to work and eat here.
Still here but since it is winter break all over campus I've kind of given myself alternative hours so I am working while I'm awake and alert instead of dragging myself out of bed to be here early for...right....an empty office. 37 weeks today- it isn't too bad considering I'm at a desk all day, BUT campus is on a hill so walking anywhere is major exercise, no to mention the closest open restroom is up 2 huge flights of stairs (whiny mcgee over here, I know). It is nice to jam out to whatever music I want and not really worry about anyone except the mail people coming in! My temp comes next Monday, so then It'll be a week and a half of training and then I'M DONE! Wahoo!! My midwife promised she'd pull me from work at 39 weeks. Love her!
I'm 38/6 right now and last worked Dec 20 due to pre-planned time off. If I haven't had the baby yet I will be going back Jan 2. I have a pretty stressful job but we had divided up my team and duties before my time off so if I go back I will mostly be doing reporting and less stressful stuff.
Still working here too - 37wk/3d but since I also have a desk job it isn't bad. I have incredible amount of respect for you ladies that are in your feet for hours at 37wk-39wk pregnant. You're seriously astonishingly amazing. I basically waddle from one side of the building to the other and to the bathroom. There's zero coverage for me in Jan (scheduled c/s on 1/10) and it's the busiest sales meeting of the year. And really? After raising a flag for two months I have just decided it's not worth it and let them drown.
I'm 37w5d and still working. I will work up until I have the baby if I can. I see patients throughout the day and the past couple weeks have been crazy as the other two audiologists took time off for the holidays and left me as the only doctor here!!! (Thanks a lot). I'm exhausted and sweating constantly at work. Thank God I have tomorrow and Wednesday off!!! Whew!!!
I'm still working at 39 weeks!! This Friday is my last day of work(40weeks). I also work in a hospital and mostly on my feet some days, but been very lucky as the past 2 weeks have been slow with the holidays. We have less outpatients. But I would say the last 3 weeks have been tough. I'm normally sitting on my ass after work cause I'm hurting, belly pressure etc. but overall just really trying to take things slow at work, taking it easy and my coworkers totally understand. 3 more days of work. It feels sooooo surreal. . Getting excited!!
I'm still working, but definitely taking it easy. Since my doctor and hospital are right near my office, I'm only going into the office once a week, on the day of my appointments. The rest of the time I am working from home, on my couch. Luckily, I've got a really great boss and staff and there is kind of an unwritten rule around my company that unless you are really needed in the office, you spend the last 2-3 weeks of your pregnancy working from home and transitioning your work responsibilities. Haha, I think it's also due to the executives (all men) having a fear that the pregnant ladies will go into labor at work--it actually happened once where a woman's water broke on her office floor and she barely made it to the hospital.
So--although I am still working and being paid, it's not so bad.
I'm 38+3 weeks and still working, will work until the baby comes. I have a desk job so it's bearable. The challenge is taking care of my 3 year old in the evening because I just want to go to bed after I come home from work.
37 weeks here. I welcome the distraction from the uncertainty of when Baby will be here, but trying to keep my ever-changing mood swings in check has been a trick, ha.
Wow didn't realize how many ladies are still working. Way to go!!!! I do have to say yesterday was for some reason the toughest for me. I literally can't move today and haven't been this sore from work before. Maybe it's a sign of imminent things happening.
Still working - 37w4d today! I don't know how you waitressing/on-your-feet mamas do it. I tip my swollen hands to you because putting on clothes in the morning is exhausting; I can't IMAGINE standing all day. I basically waddle from one side of the office to the other and to the bathroom. I have a scheduled c/s next Fri 1/10 and my last day at work 1/8. Hang in there ladies!!!!!
Still working at 37w2d. I have a desk job, but it actually still requires me to run around the office quite a bit. I'm struggling with sleep and the pain of moving around. I'm going to work until I get timeable contractions. Then no mas

Will baby #3 be another girl?
