Is anyone else finding themselves obsessed with baby? I'm at FTM and have a Type A personality so I can't seem to stop planning. Baby planning is all I think about! Help! How do I get it off my mind long enough to get other stuff done?

    I can't stop either. It's how I was with my wedding - I feel like I should be doing something, anything, to prepare everyday. I feel like I can never do enough. I don't ever go to any store without looking at baby stuff and I normally get at least one thing. I haven't figured out a way to get it off my mind. Somehow, I relate it back to baby every time!

    I'm a STM and I find myself constantly thinking about what I need to do before baby. I'll just randomly go in her nursery and look through the closet, stand by the crib and rifle through things. I catch myself doing this and be like wth are you doing you crazy person. I know my husband is getting tired of talking about her. I'm blaming some of it on nesting.

    Im totally obsessed and I can't stop buying stuff. My nursery is done and I haven't even had my shower yet.

    I finally am starting to (STM) but it's mostly nesting--cleaning, organizing, making lists, etc.

    I think about her often... every 5 minutes, it seems, but its more from a practical "fitting into our family" mindset. I'm not buying much and we're not changing the nursery around at all, so I have very little to purchase. I think more about accommodating my kiddo during the transition home with his baby sister. And I'm thinking about freezer meals :) And how/when I'll nap...

    Now that's a practical STM for you!

    I'm a third time mom and I still have this problem. It's like my nesting itch has settled in earlier with each kid. I'm constantly racking my brain over what we need to do to prepare for her and I'm constantly buying stuff too. Not even just baby stuff. It's like, "man we really need to get a hall table for that wall in the living room to maximize toy storage so I can fit a swing/mamaroo/PnP in that corner" and then before you know it I bought a new table and built it and everything.

    I'm a FTM and my child's closet is already full. How do you expect me to not go to the 50% off Carter's sale? Lol and I have an addiction to zulilly. I am trying to calm down and wait until the baby shower but I love buying him things.

    Third time mom here and I'm the same way. I haven't purchased crazy amounts, but I have lists and registries, we have bought some blankets, pacifiers (only one 2 pack so far), carseat and stroller, rock n play when I had a coupon for it, security blanket like DS's only pink (had to get off ebay and found a good price), etc. I think and plan a lot though, and it helps i am a SAHM so I can!

    I keep trying to explain to my husband, I can't stand to think of someone paying $150 for the swing we registered for, when I found it for $70.  I figure if someone is generous enough to get us that kind of gift, I can return it and use the money on other great deals...get more for less :)  

    Same with stocking up on diapers and wipes, I'd rather stock up now, when they aren't a necessity and I can wait for really good sales, then be scrambling to the store and paying $45/box.  I am however not buying ANY of the little things we'll need, so we have no bottles, pacifiers, bibs, etc.  Just all the big stuff is done.  I'm a planner, and I've always had a hard time waiting until the end to prepare for everything, I like to spread out the amount of work/decorating/cleaning so it's no stressful at the end.  My dr. said because I'm high risk baby will be delivered between 36-39 weeks so that means about 2 1/2 months left.  not much time :)

    I'm the same way and this is #2 for us. Now that the holidays are over we are going to spend our time getting the nursery ready.

    I am obsessed with touching my belly.  I never thought I would be one of those people.  I never clutched my belly as I walked around (before I started being able to feel them).  Now even if they are calm and quiet my hand(s) are always there.  When with DH I always change the subject back to them.  I day dream about them running to me to snuggle with me.  Obsessed.

    I am a bonding through belly touching as well, it is nice to feel the bumps and kicks.

    Add me to obsessive belly toucher! I actually am annoyed that DH does not touch my belly more. If we are next to eachother I put his hand there. Lol
    He should be obsessed too... This is probably our one & only and it is such a miracle to feel LO in there.
