Hi There! Anyone know where to find girl bedding? I can't seem to find something I like. I don't even know where to look. Any suggestions? The room is a light purple and am looking for something to coordinate. TIA
PBK has a couple of cute sets that go well with light purple. Also I found a Cotton Tales set called Lilac that is pretty cute and would also go well.
I do agree with a PP that there are a lot of pieces you may never use. If you shop on a site like PBK you can buy the set or individual pieces, so you don't have to get everything. And the quilt, while you may never actually use it in the crib, is cute to hang on the wall or use as a blanket later.
Grey sheets from BRU would look beautiful with your purple walls. Sheets are all you need for the first year. Then just throw in a cream colored soft blanket. Lovely.

Where have you looked that you haven't liked? There are a zillion places to purchase bedding... from your big box baby stores (Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby) to Target / Walmart to Pottery Barn Kids / Land of Nod. Etsy is also a great resource if you are looking for something a little more custom. There are also other more upscale online retailers... Serena & Lily, Dwell Studio, Posh Tots, etc.
Honestly baby bedding is kind of a waste of money and I def understand the want for a cute nursery but babies can't use the comforter type blankets anyway. You may have your own beliefs on the bumpers but personally I'm not a fan and will not be using one. And then sheets and dust ruffles are kind of all your buying out of the actual set to use. I would save the money and wait until you have a fun toddler room to decorate. Target is pretty cost effective though if your set on it for the whole experience they have lots of choices online. Buy buy baby as well you can buy pieces seperate which I love.
(as mentioned by PP). You don't have to buy the sets you can just get fitted sheets, which is the direction I'm going. This way you get to have lots of fun with prints and styles with minimal money spent.
My mom loves to sew so most of the nursery stuff is going to be made by her (curtains, quilts, tummy time blankets, floor pads). I found this cute lilac elephant print fabric on sale so that's where we're starting.
We got ours at PBK, we will be using a bumper, sheets and crib skirt . Both of our parents used them with us, so we will be using one too, we also got the AngelCare baby monitor with SIDS mat, so not worried . DD room is across hall as well.
csmily51 you know about the angelcare monitor recall, right? if not make sure you check to make sure yours isn't one of the models recalled. I couldn't bring myself to use brand now that its been linked to death by strangulation.
I'm getting the maya set from pbk. It includes the dust ruffle, sheet and quilt. I won't use the quilt until she's older but I love it. Plus it's on sale
I highly recommend Restoration Hardware Baby and Child and Carousel Designs. Both have free fabric swatches you can order online to make sure it matches with your room. Carousel Designs also let's you order customized bedding, which we did for DD1's crib skirt.
Both of those sites have al a carte options, which is nice because the quilt and bumpers are worthless in a bedding set.
ETA: they both have lavender and light purple bedding as well. I'm doing the same color as you and I just got a bunch of samples.
