NBR: Pet insurance

Can someone recommend me a good pet insurance company to go with? We just moved to the US from Canada and our Canadian insurance is about to expire so I need to get a US based one for our two dogs. TIA!

  • You can also look into CareCredit for pets. It works like a credit card that you can pay off as you go. A lot of vets take it since it works like a credit card.

  • Thanks guys! I checked into one and it would be $84 per month for the two of them, plus a $350 deductible! Wow! Pretty pricey. I'll check into the options you mentioned, thanks again!

  • I use VPI. We pay $43/month. No deductible
  • I find that VPI missed a lot of things on my claim form. I had to send the claim back twice to get everything reimbursed that I needed. I think you need to go over these claims either a fine tooth comb since they arent regulated like regular health insurance. And even regular health insurance miss things :)
