Who else is sick of walking into a friend or family member's house and getting the look? LOL....I feel like no one even looks at my face anymore...just straight down to the belly!!
LOL I will be honest, I kind of like it. We are "out" now so I'm just happy people know what they're looking at and don't just think I'm getting fat!
Sorta on the same topic, I almost died laughing the other night when we broke the baby news to my 8 year old stepson. After he had his excited little reaction, my husband says to him, "Don't you think Sarah looks a little different?" and my stepson kind of gave me a once over and says, "I was just thinking...maybe she hasn't been running as much lately." Baaahahaha!! I died.
I secretly judge people on whether or not they look at my face or belly when they talk to me. This one woman at work gives me not just the belly stare but the whole up and down creepster look like she assessing where exactly I've gained weight in addition to my stomach. It gives me the willies.
I had a set of 34B/C's before, and they were such that I could wear a low cut top and show a touch of decolletee and yet not look like i was spilling out. But I've ended up with DD's now and all the same old tops make me look like I'm really proud of my girls.
I've taken to wearing a hoodie zipped all the way up when I'm out, but i was hanging out at home the other day without my hoodie on when my (gay) friend dropped in. He was like "OMG your BOOBS." My husband was cracking up.
SAME HERE. We're not entirely out yet, but just told a couple friends last weekend and one of them said, "Yeah, I kind of figured you were pregnant. In all of your recent photos your boobs are out of control." Oy. I can't wait to be totally out and all bumpy so maybe people will look to the stomach instead of the girls .
I actually don't like people staring at the bump. Blame body issues, I don't know, but once it gets big and round it'll probably be different... but right now I just wanna say staaahp people!
If they're not looking at the belly though they're staring at the boobs. Made a mistake of wearing a lower cut shirt to work one day and I couldn't figure out why in the world everyone was leaning over my cube talking to me that day... d'oh.
I am so jealous of the ladies whose boobs have grown! I started a 34a and I'm *still* a 34a! I've wanted bigger boobs my entire 34 years of life! Waaaaaah! (Ok, so maybe I didn't wat bigger boobs until I was 13 or so. . .)
I'm still blump, but I don't mind. There's just one woman at work who always has the judgy stare and also judges everything I eat and gives unsolicited advice about healthy snacks. It's like you didn't care before you knew and now you think that as an adult, I forgot how to eat? I was pregnant looong before you knew!
I don't mind at all because it means I am still pregnant!
This is totally how I feel. Today's my EDD from my last pregnancy I have so much sadness about that that I appreciate the happiness when people's glances remind me that things are still going well with this pregnancy. When people see this bump and know it's a bump (I totally dress in all maternity clothes now, so it's pretty clear) I am just so happy because to me if helps remind me that things are progressing!
I don't like being the center of attention so it's really uncomfortable for me when everyone stares! What drives me even more crazy is people already touching my blump, not quite a bump yet, without asking!!!!! I've actually slapped at hands and told people if you didn't put it there don't touch it!!!
@FeliciaTwo...same here sista. Proud member of the I.B.T.C...though I just started noticing a few little stretch marks on the Tatas this week so maybe there is hope for us yet!! [-O<
Over Christmas, my cousin insisted that my "uterus looks full," despite me telling her it is just bloat (serrrrrious constipation and gas). She kept insisting. Super annoying. I'm only just 14 weeks today.
I don't mind so much when people haven't seen me in a while, but I get people at work who obviously glance at my belly daily, which makes me really self conscious. It's so odd for people to pay that close attention to my body, pregnant or not.
Only look I'm sick of is the once over I always get from my fiancé's friend's trashy entourage. I swear every time we run into him he has a new bimbo or two on his arm, and they always do the snobby once over look. Now they spot the belly and give a little smirk like "ha she's not competition." Seriously? One of these times my hormones are going to get the best of me and I'm going to blurt something out like "yes it's his, so make sure to use a rubber because he sure is potent!" Ha would love to see their face then!
I like it, but don't like that ppl say "oh wow ur really starting to show" and I think " no, no, it's just my normal fat, I just can't suck in anymore"...looking forward to a 'real' bump lol

8 year olds are hilarious. My brother is 8 and when I told him he was going to be an uncle again (my SIL just had the first out of my siblings this past June) he literally face-palmed and said "UGH. I am SO not ready for this!"
You think you aren't ready, kid?! Lol
Sorry to hijack the thread, that response just reminded me of my little story
My 31year old brother, who still lives at home, goes to school, and works part time, commented about how this changes his life. Really? How? We will live 45 min. away when the baby is born (right now we live over an hour away). Essentially holidays will be different now. What a piece of work :P. Hard to believe sometimes that he was identified as gifted, lol.
Yes! I'm on the verge of showing (still haven't popped yet) but everyone knows I'm expecting and they look right at my belly. The gem of a comment I got at Christmas was from my husband's grandpa: "Well, you don't look fat!" Haha. He's in his 80s though so he can make all the wacky comments he wants to.
I get the dramatic look gopher on the regular. I wish I could post a dang gif.
I am seventeen weeks and look 6 months and people look at my belly, no, they stare at it bug eyed, and ask me if I'm having twins. To make it worse baby is chilling way down by my jj but my uterus is stretched all the way above my belly button so the top part is all baby juices and not baby so when people go in for a belly rub I feel like a faker because it's on the waterbed side of things up there lol. I have been showing since nine weeks due to my high up uterus so I've been receiving this look on the regular for a while now. I managed to skip over the "is she pregnant? No, what if she's just getting fat. I should congratulate her. But what if she's just fat? I won't say anything" look this time though. This pic is 15 weeks. Wish I had a current.
