I can't speak for anywhere other than Mt. Sinai, but I had a GREAT experience there. The doctors were amazing, the nurses were FANTASTIC, and the room was really nice. Their NICU is top notch too. I felt really comfortable there and confident that I was getting great care for me and my baby.

I am seeing this post very late (new to this board), but @lauren_m, I am planning on delivering at Mt.Sinai, and am wondering what you can tell me about the private vs. semi-private rooms? What did you choose and what was your experience? I am hoping to schedule a hospital tour within the next couple of months, but was just curious. TIA!
