First M14 babies are here! *pics added*

Our little bundles of joy were born last night around 5pm last night. Its been such a crazy couple of days. Around 3am yesterday I had a HUGE gush of water and then the strong contractions came. I was dilated to 3 and 100pct effaced.They called my dr and he sent me to L&D - then came in around 6. He told us we'd likely have our babies that day or the next and gave us the option of delivering csec right then or letting me dilate naturally to try and have a vag delivery... girl was on her side so there was a 50pct chance of csec even after boy was delivered. He explained all of the health benefits of a vaginal delivery and I decided that I had come this far, even if I ended up having to do both - it was worth it. He gave me an epidural at that point
FF to about 2pm and the epi was wearing off enough that my contractions were super painful again. They checked me and i was now dilated to 8...too late for more meds because they said I wouldn't be able to push. Grrrr onto delivery I went... I hadn't prepared myself mentally for that!
After laboring and pushing for about an hour the boy was almost out but the u/s tech said girl was feet first ... csec was necessary. So they flipped gears and csec I went.
Overall I'm feeling pretty well considering. They were 30w6d and are doing great. They're breathing on their own ( boy even cried right when he came out - such a sweet sound!) and I've pumped 3 times already to try and get that flowing. They each weighed about 3 and a half lbs. We should know more today about their progress.
AND we still don't have names but I think the girl will be Eliana Lee and the boy will be Everett Alan James (2 middle names).
I'm very happy with our decision to wait, it gave my body time to process the meds from Thursday and I think they helped the health a lot. It gave them over 24 hours and so they are now in their systems
I will add pics for some reason it won't work on my cell. Thanks for everyone's prayers. I hope it's a short nicu stay.

First u/s 7/11/2013 - TWINS!!! 120 and 124 heartbeats
Second u/s 7/29/2013 - wiggley babies! 178 and 184 heartbeats!
Third u/s 9/9/2013 - 157 and 161 heartbeats ... a BOY and a GIRL!!!! Cervix on the "shorter side" (3-3.3) - going to check again in 2 weeks.
Fourth u/s 9/23/2013 - Baby A = 157 Baby B = 150 heartbeat. Cervix now 2.3-2.6 ... being referred to a MFM
MFM Appointment 9/26/2013 = Both babies healthy, cervix now measuring at 4 - Playing tricks on me ... will follow up in 2 weeks.
Cervical check 10/7 with regular OB - 2.1cm --- going BACK to the MFM armed with ultrasound pictures from my OB of my cervix. *sigh*
MFM Appointment 10/8 - confirmed my cervix at 2.1cm - putting me on Progesterone for a week.
MFM Appointment 10/17 - Cervix unchanged! Keeping me on Progesterone - followup 10/29

Praying for a short nicu visit and an easy transition home with your bundles! I am still in shock "our" first babies have arrived!!! It's insane, I tell you! But such a wonderful relief that they're breathing like champs and are doing well! Your name choices are beautiful!

And ETA because I am silly: of course you will all stay in my thoughts and prayers for a short, smooth, NICU stay.

Also, kudos on going for the vaginal delivery and being able to switch at the last minute! You seem to have handled a pretty crazy situation with a lot of grace and calmness! I hope for a positive birth story like yours!

Congrats McSweets!! I'm glad everyone is doing well. You and your little ones are in my thoughts, I hope their nicu stay is as short as possible.
