Intfant Tylenol

When can you give Tylenol to your newborn? I checked the box and it doesn't say. I found a website on google; knowyourdose.org and it shows dosage for 0-3 month old via syringe and dropper. Jacks diaper rash is at its worst. I just changed him and there are now open sores on his bum. I feel like a bad mom for letting it get this bad. We are heading into urgent care today as soon as they open at 9.

    @cashingn2 we did diaper free time on Friday almost all day after a oatmeal bath. I switched back from huggies to pampers. I think they were the culprit.

    The poor guy is having his growth spurt too! I can't feed him enough, he's so hungry. He just needs to stop popping every diaper change so we can have some relief.

    I use the sprout iPhone app and track everything. Yesterday he had 7 mixed diapers and 4 Just wet. They have the line and we change as often as we can.

    K, I texted my sister. She may not answer for a while. If the bottle says it's ok, I'm sure it is. Poor little guy. Hope he heals quickly.

    Oh thank you!!! The bottle states to check with a healthcare provider. The website I listed in my original post shows a dosage.

    @cashingn2 I'm thinking allergy too. He was rash free until we switched to huggies. Also will you pm when you hear back from your sis? I Mobile bump so I don't always see the notifications.

    @cashingn2 any help is better than no help even if it's late help. Someone else on the bump may benefit from it too. Jack fell asleep nursing so he's probably not in any pain at the moment. We kept him up during the day while washer and dryer chopping so I know he was tired when we all went to bed at 9:30.

    You need to call your dr for the correct dosage. It it's based on weight and age at this point. I have a chart from my doctor that lists all the medication dosages by age and weight.

    Maybe try calling your local pharmacy, if you have a 24-hour one? They should be able to give you the dose.

    Call your pedi's after hours line. They will give you the correct dosage based on weight over the phone.

    I received a chart from our pedi, but it says not to give it in babies less than 2 or 3 months. I asked the pedi when our son was circumcised though and he said it's fine.  I'm guessing they just don't want people giving their babies pain meds willy nilly.

    My pedi says nothing before 2 months and if I feel like I need to give her something for pain (for whatever reason), they need to know about it before I do to give me the okay.

    @loolaide thanks for all your advice. We got some good advice from urgent care. I posted in the imsomnia post. It has just been a shit day that I want to end.
