shopping with a double jogging stroller

anybody do this? how is it? I'm considering getting rid of my regular double stroller and my super old, fixed wheel jogger and just going to a double jogger where you can lock and unlock the front wheel and wanted to see if it was going to be a big pain to shop with the double jogger.

    Are you talking Christmas shopping or grocery shopping? Mine isn't exactly a jogging stroller, II have a baby jogger city select which I have the second seat for but can lock and unlock wheels. At the mall it can be difficult to maneuver in tight stores because of both width and length. If DH is with me and can stay with the stroller in the aisle ways so I can browse in some of the tighter spaces it's fine. The two biggest issues are the back wheel base is sometimes to wide to go between some racks or shelves (stores like Jcpenney, Kohls are tough but doable) and it is so long that turning with very little space can be tough.

    I agree with previous poster...it depends on the type of shopping.  Grocery stores are fine a it is no bigger than the big carts and aisles are wide.

    If you mean a side-by-side double stroller in a mall...it will be fine in the hallways for strolling about and fine in the main paths of stores but if you are the type to spend tons of time in the stores looping around the racks etc then it will be tight and possibly problematic. 

    That said, a new model swivel front wheel stroller will be much easier than an old fixed front wheel stroller. 

    You will likely find more info by posting the exact model you plan to buy and having moms with that stroller comment on their experience with the same stroller!!

    I use my Bob dualle as my everyday stroller.  I use it in mall with no problems.  Some stores are trickier  than others, but really not much difference between this stroller and my older sit and stand.

    It depends on the with of the stroller.  My Baby Trend is great at the big malls and stores like Target, but it just too big to get into some smaller stores.  Some doors just do not open enough to through or the aisles are too tight.
