My LO is 5 months and typical eats 6 ounces about every 3-3.5 hours. I feed him formula mixed with pumped breast milk. The past couple days he has been ready for a bottle at the 2 hour mark. I decided to give him 7 ounces at each feeding today and he was going back to wanting to eat after 3 hours. He is in the process of teething and has been having some diarrhea from it. I figured he must be wanting to eat more due to having 2 poopy diapers a day right now, and I know a 6 month growth spurt is coming. Just thought I would see how much other babies are eating around this age.
Re: How much is your 5 month old eating
If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say they eat about 24oz each per day.
My oldest dropped a feeding around 7mo, another around 8mo, and was down to 4x a day by 9mo. I know by 9mo, his BM bottles were around 5-6oz.
