Spotting

I'm 10-12dpo and was starting to feel certain...and started having spotting today...it seems a few days late for implantation and I have To wait for family to leave for Christmas before I test. AF isn't due til Sunday so it's kinda early to test anyway. I've had some notable symptoms, headache slight nausea and intermittent heartburn for the last week. I'm not having normal menstrual cramps, there are usually extremely painful to the point of severe nausea.
This is my first so I have lots of questions, All words of wisdom are appreciated.

    I think looking for IB as a sign of being pregnant is probably THE worst idea I've seen women on TB doing. Not everyone get's IB and it doesn't really look like spotting at all. It's like a smear of pink, something you probably wouldn't even notice unless you were really really looking for it. I would never assume that bleeding was a pregnancy. Keep us posted, but I would have to agree with @whocanitbenow, you're probably getting your period. Good luck, keep trying and take a few pregnancy tests before getting your hopes up! I can't tell you how many symptoms of PMS I mistook for pregnancy when we were TTC. You will break your own heart getting yourself excited at the slightest cramp or craving.

    4/2012 tried 1st round of Clomid @ 50mgs, BFN
    11/2012 tried 2nd round of Clomid @ 50mgs
    BFP on 12/16!!

    10-12DPO isn't too early to test, plus if your symptoms are truly caused by pregnancy, you should have enough hCG in your system to test positive. PMS and pregnancy symptoms are pretty much the same.
