Garrett Joseph is here!

I know I don't post much at all, but I try to comment often. So hopefully this doesn't seem like a drive-by announcement :) Side note: I'm not good with writing at all, so this may end up sounding weird.

He's here! I was induced yesterday 12/26 at 8:30 am, and he came quickly at 5:06 pm. They started pit at 8:30 am (I was already at a tight 4cm, 70-80% effaced, and contracting every 3-4 min), broke my water at 12:30 pm after getting the second dose of antibiotic. Got an epi an hour later (saving grace!!!), and by 5 pm I was ready to push. 2 contractions later and he was out! A couple abrasions, but no tearing or stitches. I'm feeling pretty well, and Garrett has been an awesome baby so far. He's been BF'ing really well too, so that makes me so happy.

I feel so blessed with how everything went and turned out. With DS1, it was 5 days from the start of pit to delivery and 3hrs of pushing. BF'ing didn't go well at all, got lucky with a small 1st degree tear, and I ended up having complications a couple weeks later. So to have this one be 8.5hrs if labor and roughly 5 min of pushing with zero tearing, I just can't believe it!

I just started up the Lovenox injections (blood thinner) again this morning and will continue them for 6 more weeks. The pp time frame is when a clot is most likely to form. Even though we're taking precautions, one can still form but it's much much less likely to.

Here's a pic of my handsome little guy!
