Re: FFFC

  • I still haven't taken DS for his 5 month shots or called his doc for his 6 month appt cause last month when he was there they weren't set up yet for 2014 appts. I'm getting it done though.

I also dont know if I want to make an appt with my OB I had, since she seemed to not be a good fit and is always very vague and quick to shoo you out the door. I need the appt and hesitant to ask MIL who she recommends seeing (she works in the same healthcare our insurance takes).

Oh well. At least my house doesn't need much cleaning.

  • @scoutkate I'm sure that was super scary, but I am dying at you actually screaming "I don't know what to do". I know there's nothing funny about the situation, but I can't stop laughing.

DD has gotten that choking look on her face before and I totally lost my shit too.
  • OMG @scoutkate, how scary! My h has EMR training and I have the basic idea of what to do but he's not around as often as me and I need to get more than a basic idea. Thanks for the reminder.

  • FFFC: I was so upset when O was a baby and preferred bottles over nursing but now with A, he will not take a soother or bottle at all, and I'm realizing I had green grass mentality. I really really want baby to take a bottle so I can have an afternoon away. Like REALLY. Not sure I can keep this up for another 9 months.

  • MIL offered to take Rosie while she is sick as it's quieter there. We took her up on the offer. We also sent Ein to her house for 3 days while we did our marathon Christmas celebrations. I felt bad leaving her in a kennel for 3 days straight.

  • My kid ate peanut butter crackers at MIL's Christmas dinner.  Oh and chocolate mini donuts.  I didn't care but I could tell his family thought it quite dysfunctional.

They have a food obsession.  They were pouring gravy and crap in his cousin's 8 week old's mouth.  He was choking, etc.  Meanwhile he is crying his head off and broke out in a rash....they just can't figure out what's wrong with him!

I judged.  Hard.  Guess that is my FFFC.  They will NEVER care for a kid of mine that is under a year old.

    WTFF!!! OMG......

Gravy for an 8 week old? Really?

  • Gravy for a newborn? Well I have heard it all.

Mine is that I just don't get my manager sometimes. She is obsessed with work. If her (she has 3) kids are sick, they come to work. One of them had strep which then prompted a string of sick leaves for 3 people due to....strep. We have a very flexible WFH policy. Hence, why she's on a ski vacation and....working. We were closed Xmas eve but in she came.

I just don't get it. Maybe I either don't like my job enough or I just reallllly value any time off I can get.

I love Just Dance 2014. The music is awesome. I'm letting SD play all morning so I can listen.
We got this for M but haven't had a chance to play it yet since nephew has had his new Wii U plugged into the TV.

  • @lovelyritametermaid Ummm...WTAF?! I'd be judging the shit out of them too. My kid is just about a year old and he doesn't even have gravy. But 8 weeks old? Come the fuck on....use your brain, people.

  • That's just sick & dangerous for a 8 week old baby. I keep re-reading it, hoping it says 8 months...... SMMFH....

  • Gravy?! Wow and I was nervous about my dad giving DS. an angry bird graham cracker.

I dont blame ya for not letting them feed your LO. FIL isn't allowed to feed.DS anymore cause he made him finish a jar of carrots in 5 mins where it normally is 20 mins for him to eat. Sounds petty but IDGAF.

  • I flipped out on MIL at Christmas for giving DS (6 months) potato soup. It was just a bite, but it's super rich. I'm usually whatever about stuff like that, but not this young. I couldn't imagine someone giving anything to my 8 week old.

My confession, though not really flameful, is that due to my blatant lack of.libido, awful mood swings, and constant feeling of bloat, DH and I decided I should stop my hormonal BC.

Well, I've been off of it for a few weeks now, and already my libido is back in full force! I just want to bang. And now...consequently, MH feels the need to comment on how hes not a fan of condoms, but doesn't want to take the risk of getting me pg again yet (we want to start trying for #2 after this summer).

Well wtf dude. You either have a happy wife that wants to bang you but can possibly, readily get pregnant (but other options for bc can be utilized obvs!)...or....you have a cranky, moody, bloated wife that wants nothing to do with sex, but you don't have to worry about a surprise pregnancy. Take your pick.

  • @darbie914 Im sorry you guys are having a rough time. I know the feeling...DH and I rarely get out together without DS in tow. Mostly bc none of our family is local and hiring a sitter for a night out on top of the cost for a dinner date is just plain fucking expensive.

I also had absolutely no sex drive..then I got off hormonal bc. Already im feeling a huge difference.

I hope you guys can get some time away together soon!

  • My h calls me at work about dumb shit and it drives me crazy. Things like " should I go to the store now or later?" I don't care dude, do what works for you, I have stuff to do here.

I'm not on BC so I'm genuinely worried that I have some sort of imbalance.  Is that even possible when it comes to libido?  Ugh, I have no clue how my body works.
Well surely, every woman's"normal" libido is different...so I guess its hard to pinpoint what is "normal" vs. "Abnormal" in that dept. Id say if its something that isbothering you, a call to your OBGYN may be in order. Maybe he/she has some suggestions/possible solutions? GL!

  • H got me a pandora bracelet with all of our initials and birthstones on it. I don't like it at all. It is so not my style. I think H was mad when I opened it because I did not react like he wanted me to. Then he proceded to act like a dick the rest of Christmas.

My H does this too. When he is home with the kids and I'm not there he becomes completely useless. My favorite was when he called me 5 times (I was doing orientation) because "OMG I CAN'T FIND DD's PANTS!!!"

Dude, WTAF am I supposed to do about this. She has 20 pairs of pants. Find one.
  • McDonald's Mighty Wings are delish. I'm eating them for the second time this week.

I was saying this on my BMB UO yesterday.  I think they are so successful because clueless men get them for their wives and then for the next few years they are set on present ideas.  It astounds me what a "full" bracelet can cost.
OMG this!  Buy me diamonds, please.

  • We've talked about this already this week, but we are really tempted to return some of the gifts we got for DS this year (and also maybe some gaudy, rather expensive jewelry DW's sSIL got her). DS has too many toys and would benefit a lot more from us upgrading some of our furniture.

Sadly, most people didn't give us gift receipts, which normally makes returns for cash unpossible.

I smoke outside and then take a full shower after I smoke.

I have been known to put a baby down if me holding them doesn't help or stop the crying. I try something else.
Yeah but he doesn't try anything else. He had him for 5min.
