talk me off a bridge...

I was set back about a week according to US on Tuesday.  The day of U/S, I had LMP of 6 weeks…. but gestational sac and yolk sac only measured 5 weeks 1 day.

I got progesterone and betas drawn this morning and results are in.  I am 6.2 weeks LMP but 5.3 weeks according to measurements on ultrasound.  Progesterone is 17.79 and betas are 5355.  The progesterone seems normal, but the betas just seem so low to me.

I have no idea why I'm overanalyzing this so much, and I won't see my doc until tomorrow to discuss the results.  I am so anxious this pregnancy… I think it's because I know the scary stuff that can happen, and as much as I didn't think I had… I have total pgal brain (loss in june). Please, talk me off a bridge… but just be honest with what you have experience with.

  • thanks @heatherham10

I read the online charts, and that is within the "normal" range, but not on the highest end of normal… which is what I want to calm my nerves.

  • Yea same here. But everyone is different. I have seen super high and lower. Did you have your betas done in the beginning? I know doubling does slow down after you get over 1200.

  • My betas this pregnancy have been on the lower end of normal and so far so good. I think betas cause more stress than anything. Are u having a repeat scan? That will be the best test.

  • Do you know when you ovulated?  Between that and late implantation, you could totally be a little behind your LMP due date. When did you get your BFP?  Did you get a BFN anytime before that?  Your betas seem right in line with your measurements, so I would say no cause for concern just yet.

  • Thank you so much everyone… I think if it wasn't my beta numbers, I would be giving the same advice, but like @MrsDeo said… pgal brain doesn't listen to reason.  And to think this whole time I didn't think the loss affected me much.

  • We never listen to the advice we give, human nature :)
That really does seem like a perfectly fine number per charts, though!
