Wow I was so confused when I saw "Thursday" cause I totally thought today was Monday... and now i'm ecstatic that the week is almost over instead of just beginning!!!!

What are you doing?: temping, OPK's, CM, CP, sex, PNV, (I stopped green tea a few days ago since I was convinced I O'd, and started the pineapple core... which aint gonna do me any good if I haven't O'd yet! wtf)

Rants/chart stalks: I totally thought I O'd on Sunday on CD16. Everything lined up perfectly with OPK's, CM, and symptoms. And I was so psyched that I thought I caught it for the first time, and then super depressed and completely broke down because our timing would have been AWFUL this month. I posted in the 2WW at CD17 when I was convinced I O'd because I had a temp spike (nothing dramatic, but my temp "spikes" haven't been very dramatic). Needless to say, after watching my temps the past few days, I certainly don't think I've O'd yet.

***Question: Have any of you ladies still gotten + OPK's after O? This is only my 2nd month temping and using OPK's, so I still feel like such a noob at it all. I don't think I O'd yet, but just curious in case I did O and my pre-O temps are screwed up

GTKY: What are your New Year's Eve plans? Working 3-11:15

I worked last year too, and pulled into my brother's driveway at 11:58, FLEW into the house, and made it to the basement at midnight, just seconds after the ball dropped.... and I have a feeling this year is going to be the exact same!

@dlpanda08 - Yes 9 months compared to some is short, and 9 months compared to others is long. Christmas is the worst with everyone announcing. I'm sorry yesterday got you down about the timeframe. I always try to remind myself that when people tell me "it happened really fast" or "it only took one try", they are probably lying or at least fibbing a bit. Not that many people can be fertile mertile's and fertility is definitely something people fib about.

@nikiz628 - Gorgeous ring! Also, don't worry that Christmas is over. By tomorrow Walmart will have Valentine's day stuff filling what once was the Christmas aisle.

@lesleyn21 - I made sure people saw me with booze the whole season so they wouldn't ask. There were only the in-laws that new of our CP so I didn't want them to ask. Lets just say my alcohol tolerance is way up...lol. You'll have to let me know how the robot vacuum works. Seems like the dogs would mess with it, or the toddler, and it's work would never be done.

Rants/chart stalks: Of course we muster up to do ED, and I still haven't O'd (usually I do CD14/15). I know, I know, you're consistent until you're not. I hope we can HIO again tonight, but then we're traveling to NC tomorrow to do Christmas with H's kids. It's a little harder to do ED then, but hoping to at least EOD... come on ovaries WORK WITH US!

Rants/chart stalks: Whine alert, continue reading at your own risk: I'm starting to feel like I'll never ovulate on my own. I've been off of the Nuva Ring for 3 months and 20 days, and have not ovulated yet. Thoughts? Did it take anyone else this long to get going, and then they ended up regulated without help? I'm thinking it's time to see my OB/GYN.

Idk. We probably will have DS but not DSS, so we'll probably just eat snacks and play games.

What are you doing?: Charting all the stuff. Progesterone after O.

Rants/chart stalks: I'm confused. Glad DH and I hit today and Christmas Eve because it looks like I might O today. So odd since I usually don't O till like CD 16 or 19. Maybe the progesterone last cycle did it. But I usually only get one positive OPK and the lines are dark enough that it will be soon. Weird.

GTKY: What are your New Year's Eve plans?

NONE. And I love it. I was never one for getting drunk while wearing spanks and being overdressed. Then trying to get home while drunk and no cabs anywhere. Last year was nice to just put DS to bed and have some champagne together while watching the ball drop.

What brand of OPKs are you using?

If I use wondfo's they only give me maybe one or two positives and within a 12 hour period. They are pretty spot on.

But when I have used any other brand (CVS, Target, etc) I get days and days of positives for some reason.

Or it's possible you geared up to O but didn't. Sorry your chart is playing nicely.

What are you doing?: failing at temping, my charts a big zig zag, and EOD HIO...maybe more like every 36 hours.

Rants/chart stalks: my temping skills suck apparently, so I'm not sure it's telling me much yet, but I've also not been strict on the time so that's my fault probably. It does look high AGAIN today so maybe it time.

GTKY: What are your New Year's Eve plans? Going to a jazz show/dinner, sounds much classier than our normal plans.

So is CD18 after Provera? I had a 60 day cycle, took a 10 day round of Provera, and then my cycles seemed "regulate"; as in I have not needed Provera since. My cycle lengths still vary though.

I had nuva ring but a long time ago, so no clue on the ovulation. If you don't O this cycle I don't see why a call to your doc would hurt. Have you googled?

What are you doing?: BBT, PNVs, think I'll start OPKs tomorrow (see below)

Rants/chart stalks: Long rant/questions, continue reading at own risk.... Last cycle was my first full cycle temping and I started my OPKs just as early as I had a few months before (just a few days after AF, CD 8 or 9). I didn't O until CD 25, so I basically wasted 15 days or so of OPKs. While I know they are super cheap (Wondfo's), over 2 weeks of stark whites takes a toll on a girl. Anyone have any suggestions on when I should actually start those? I just worry that maybe I could actually O at any point since I feel like my body is still regulating from BC.

GTKY: What are your New Year's Eve plans? Not certain just yet, but probably at a friend's house for a chill night of cards, drinking and ringing in what I hope to be a better year.

Rants/chart stalks: well just went for my us with my RE, I have lots of follicles but all ranging 7-9 so not ready to ovulate. So looks like trigger is off this month since I'm leaving town Saturday. Of course EVERY month I am getting close to ovulation but not this month. Welcome to my world!!! Good news all my cd3 bloodwork came back normal, my FSH was 7.4 so she said that's good.

GTKY: What are your New Year's Eve plans? Were going to be in Savannah with the inlaws so were going to out to eat and I'm sure LOTS of drinking.

amberhoothoot - I've been using the cheapie Wondfo's. Last month, I didn't get a single + OPK, and this month I can't seem to get a negative! So weird. I don't really know what the heck is going on, but I guess time will tell. I've learned how to manage my patience quite well within the past few months haha.

lmdonnel - while I'm no expert on this and still a noob at the temping/OPK thing, I wanted to say that last month I started OPK's on CD10, and O'd on CD14. This month, I started OPK's on CD10 again, and it's now CD21 and still no O. (I should mention that since coming off BCP in June, my cycles range from 28-35 days). So since my cycles range so much, I plan on continuing starting my OPK's on CD10 so that I don't miss it. If your cycles are consistently longer, than I'd say you're safe to start a few days later.

Rants: I hate how traveling messes up my temping. I don't know if I don't sleep as deeply or what, but my temps are higher since I got here than they are at home. I'm finally getting EWCM so hopefully O is coming in the next few days. I'm pretty sure I hate the CBE monitor and am going back to the Wondflos when I get home. Apparently I have a rant vomit problem too.

GTKY: We're hosting our friends, and I'm really excited to not have to drive home at midnight this year!

Yes, it is CD 18 after Provera. I'm not super concerned with the CD 18 part, just the part about having two back-to-back anovulatory cycles that worries me. Thank you for your insight! I hope I actually do regulate!

@lmdonnell - It's hard to say until you have a couple charts to see when your normal O is. I have O'd anywhere from CD15 to CD20. So I start mine around CD8 to be sure. Just one test a day or so until I see them getting darker, then I do 2-5 a day until I get a positive. I'm glad I start them early because I got a positive OPK today on CD13 which is really odd for me. But oh well, wondfo's are cheap. Soo I would say to start them like 5-7 days before your normal O to be sure.

@brettanomyces. I have no problems telling when I get a positive OPK (it's VERY obvious) and my temping is VERY obvious when I O. Don't get discouraged, yeah some peoples charts aren't as obvious and some people analyze every temp, and you can't do that, it's a pattern. My charts have crazy temps throughout but when you stand back and look at the big picture you see what it's saying. Good Luck!

We're going to Sea World (I know, I know, Blackfish, wasn't my idea) during the day and early evening. Since military members get 4 free passes a year, we haven't used ours yet, and a friend of H's from work whose wife I'm friendly with asked if we would go with them and then we could use the rest of our free passes for their kids (they have 4 or 5). So we'll go in the day and look around and ride rides and see the Christmas lights and then they have a buffet and fireworks and a commemorative blanket included in the ticket. And we'll be home by 8 or 9, drink a little sparkly and go to bed.

Rants/chart stalks: Couldn't temp today because I woke up at 5am and then again at 9am. 5am was too early to temp and 9am was too late, oh well! Other than that, just hoping to get a +OPK sometime in the CD20's

I will own up to being a competitive/type A kind of person though and a good portion of my issue yesterday was a result of my own issues. If these last few months were supposed to be a lesson in patience then I am a terrible student.

I'm completely competitive too. I mean, thats how I make a living. But when it invades my personal life it makes me feel ashamed. Making babies is just such an incredibly personal thing that no matter how/when/why it happens people will always think it's ok to discuss the details. I mean, it's all science, but the results are ran through a damn social ringer. I hate that I feel like I'm competing with all my buddies. Ironically I have fallen into a crowd (IRL) that are all taking steps to meet RE's. I will be happy for all these girls when it happens for them, but I'll still be sad for me if they all move on and I'm still here waiting.

@dovahfel - Its ok to have a wonky cycle here or there where you have an LP of 10 days or less. But if you are consistently less than 10, you'll want to ask you doc about it. Since implantation happens sometime between 7-10DPO, if an LP is less than 10 it can mean that implantation won't happen (I think).

Also why are so many of you ladies out of OPKs?

It's like amazon kept deterring your order with flashy pics of those shoes you wanted and that shirt for DH and everyone forgot to order the wondfos...lol.

Thanks! I have tried to Google ovulation after Provera, but I can't find anything. When I look for pregnancy after Provera (because at least that means at least that number of people ovulated), I find nothing but Baby Center stuff. I guess all I can do is wait it out a little bit longer, and then call my doctor after the holidays.

I've been off the boards for a couple of days here, and I feel like I missed a lot! Hi all!

CD: 16

What are you doing?: PNV, Green tea, pom juice (or "uterus juice" as the hubs and I affectionately call it), sex at least EOD but I kinda feel like we're throwing darts at the wall in that department since I have no idea when I'll ovulate being that it's my first cycle in two years.

Rants/chart stalks: It's my first month temping and my chart looks crazy to me. It doesn't help that I haven't temped at the same time every day, but I've had really bad insomnia and a toddler who randomly cries at night for a few seconds, leaving me awake for awhile. Long story short, I almost never get 3 hrs in a row, and wake up all over the place and as of yet I'm not willing to set an alarm. I guess I have no idea what's going on this month, so hopefully next month I'll see more of a pattern.

GTKY: What are your New Year's Eve plans? Probably dinner (early bird special style) with some friends and our toddlers, then HIO and sleep before the ball drops, if the past three years are any indication.

@hepburnchic it all depends on when you ovulate. I normally o around cd14 so I start EOD around cd11, were old and just don't have the stamina for much more lol. Are you doing OPK? I usually base my EOD around when I get a positive opk.
