Table food with no teeth???

So my son doesn't have any teeth yet. (I actually I'm glad because I think he looks more like a baby plus with BFeeding I dont have to deal with bitting yet) My question is should I start any table solid foods? I have Gerber puffs and he took it from my hand and put it in his mouth but I'm so nervous because it didnt soften as fast as I would like it too so I havent given it to him since. This was a few days ago. Im not sure if hes ready or if its Momma that isnt ready. How do you know what to give them or if they should have anything with not having any teeth? My husband doesnt think Mason is ready.  Sorry for this long posting I just want to make sure.

    Yes, you can start table foods! Just start with softer foods. Baby will gum them even without teeth. Babies don't chew with their front teeth anyway, which are the teeth that come in first :-)

    We started BLW before DD3 had any teeth. She still only has the 2 bottom and does just fine with almost any food now.

    Teeth aren't necessary for table foods. You chew and grind food with molars and most kids won't get those until closer to 2. LOs will just mash and grind with their gums. DD has no teeth and we do BLW exclusively and she does just fine.

    I started table food at 6.5 months. He has everything we eat (hasn't tried fish yet) and he just got his first tooth less than 2 weeks ago. He has done great with table food since we started. Some children don't get their first teeth until after they turn one. I say go for it. I can't imagine having a child on baby food over the age of one just because they don't have teeth yet.

    No teeth here and has had lots of table food. She wants nothing to do with purees and only wants to feed herself now.
