Medela Harmony question

We are going on vacation and I want to bring a pump just incase I need it. I didn't want to bring the PISA, so I grabbed a Harmony. If I don't use it, I want to return it.

Question: is it ready to use out of the box, or does it need to be sterilized initially? I can bring Medela steam sterilizer bags, but Medelas website says to use the steam bag with the Harmony and also to NOT use the steam bags :( clear as mud!

Re: Medela Harmony question

  • I would wash it before hand to get factory dust off it. I never sterilize mine.

  • I just washed mine before using it. I washed it before we left, so I had to keep it, but I'm glad because I have used it a couple of times recently.
