My girls both got camera's this Christmas (apparently it was the gift to get in my house).
Audrey--V-tech
Taylor--Fisher Price
So comparing them both, here is what I've noticed in the barely one day of use.
Both have two eye pieces, so your kid doesn't have to try to squint with one eye...nice.
V-tech is great for slightly older kids (I wish Tay had gotten that one). You can play games, you can add a few "graphics" then take a picture and the "graphics" show up...for instance, there are "curtains"...you pick that...then when you take the picture it looks like the person is on a "stage".
The pictures are all really bright though. (Haven't looked on the computer yet to see how they really turn out and both view finders pretty much suck...Fisher price's sucks slightly more)
Fisher Price is good too....Mitch has thrown it several times without incident. The display screen is crappy...so I'm hoping the actual pictures are slightly better than what teh screen shows. it's very basic though...takes pictures and that's it. I'd get this one for a younger (2 or 3 year old) who would be confused by all the buttons on the v-tech one.
Like I said though, I haven't downloaded the pictures to our computer to see which picture is better....honestly, not really a concern..my k ids just like taking the pictures. But taylor I can see will get into doing stuff WITH the pictures, ordering prints, whatever...so I will be checking soon how they turn out on the computer.
All in all---I think the v-tech seems better. But the fisher price one isn't bad.
