Thoughts/Rants: Christmas Eve! Spending all day doing fun things with my family!

GTKY: I love skiing and snowmobiling for sure, but that's about it.

Testing plans: This is crazy, but 8 dpo as I have an acupuncture appointment

Phantom Symptoms: Well I know it's not pg related, but man do my boobs already hurt and I am totally gassy and bloated today. Damn LP symptoms.

Chart stalk/rant: My chart is a mess, and I manually set O date because I won't be able to temp from now until next week sometime. But, I'm positive yesterday was O. The two highish temps at cd 9 and 11 were due to drinking, so they would normally be around 97.2 pre-O, and I didn't drink and had a good sleep last night so I'm confident in the 97.7 today.

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? I love a cold, crisp, calm sunny day. My city is one of the sunniest in Canada.

Morning, All! Do you mind if I join this thread? This is our first cycle, but because of hormone issues I've had in the past, I've already made a visit to the RE, who informed us that we only have a 1% chance of conceiving naturally. DH and I are both nearly 30, but allegedly my fertility is similar to someone in their mid-40s. :-/ DH and I are trying things casually for now and we'll probably get an ovacue at cycle 7, if we are still struggling.

Is there a particular place that you like newbies to introduce themselves?

Timing: Very Casual. -1, O

Testing plans: Probably on NYE just for the heck of it. Otherwise- I think I want to wait until AF. I think POAS will drive me even crazier than I already feel. I bought my first pack of tests at Target yesterday.

Phantom Symptoms: It's nice being in a place where I don't have to pretend that I'm not thinking about this constantly... My sense of smell has increased at least ten-fold. It's moderately annoying. Shortness of breath, sensation of bloating, gas, occasional headaches. As mentioned, At least AF will probably relieve these phantom symptoms, if they are indeed phantom.

Chart stalk/rant: I had no idea how TTC would drive me crazy. I've been preparing all year for this, but didn't once think about what a psychological mind..fine...I'll say it...mind f*ck this would be.

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? I adore Christmas. The decorations, the food, the smells, the drinks. All of it.

Chart stalk/rant: I was going to wait til tomorrow but I got itchy and POAS to get it out of my system. I tested and tossed. I dug it out of trash an hour later and 2 pink lines. I know it's not valid so I'm trying to hold it to try again.its also pretty early so I'm sure it's probably an evap.

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? The snuggling with hot chocolate and movies and being able to use my new electric fireplace.

(Is there a particular way to tag people like that? Very neat. I don't remember that function from when I was on TK years ago.)

ETA: I also can't seem to get rid of my siggy. I erased it out of my settings, so maybe it just needs time to catch up. It's a fun reminder though- I actually lost 50 pounds last year- so I'd have to move that ticker down quite a bit. I've given up on trying to hit 140 pounds though. That actually probably wouldn't be healthy for me. I'm shooting for around 175, which puts me at a good fat percentage. We'll see what 2014 brings.

Dec. 31 is my first appointment. I have had two miscarriages in the past 3 months, and I have a lot of spotting before and after my period usually and even in the middle of my cycle, so I'm thinking she might be able to do something to help the health of my uterus.

So sorry about that news.

I adore my acupuncturist. Currently I'm just going to community acupuncture. It's only $15 a visit. I'm also doing moxa. However, there is an acupuncturist in town that my dentist ( I have a very holistic dentist and approach) recommended- who alleges that he has always been able to get every couple he's treated pregnant. I wish I could get my DH to go in.

Phantom Symptoms: you know, I've been looking for symptoms.. and I got NADA! wtf. My boobs arent even sore like they are sometimes after o. It's pretty funny because DH caught me groping my boobies last night wishing/seeing if they were sore....

Chart stalk/rant: nothing. I have nothing here.

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? There's a season called winter? What! jk I miss my old winters down here in FL but my favorite thing was to put on some Christmas music (or good classical/crooner music if after Christmas), sit by the fire with a book and a hot coffee/chocolate, and watch the snow fall. Now I just like that there's no more humidity and that we don't have to use A/C or heat. woo hoo!

@caitleah @leaHharden- just wanted to butt into your convo and say that H was born in the UP (or the border of UP and WI) and lived there for a while before moving to northern WI. He doesn't miss it, but I guess that's understandable since he ran far away and moved to FL first chance he got.

@leahharden yea that does NOT sound fun. So I downloaded this app on my phone that does weather overlays on your instagram photos (instaweather)... way too much fun. I found one overlay that you got to compare temperatures... I may have been mean and sent the ILs a pic with our temps and thiers. It was a week or two ago but the temps were 2* there vs 75* here. The temps here have been kind of high lately, but today it finally dropped to 45*, two days ago it was def in the 70s still.

I love my chiropractor. I do believe that proper chiropractic care can help with the nervous system and fertility. What have you discovered in your research?

I've also thought about fertility massage and castor oil packs. We'll see.

Testing plans: I tested today, BFN. Idk why I expected anything different but I'm super disappointed, I really wanted to surprised DH with a pee stick for christmas... Probably going to continue to punish myself with another test tomorrow

Phantom Symptoms: lots of creamy CM, which of course I googled and basically decided that means I'm definitely pregnant. Also I'm not having any boobs tenderness which I had a lot of last cycle. TTC seriously messes with all logic that I might've had

Chart stalk/rant: My LP is definitely more stable this month, whereas last month it was very rocky mountain-esque, kinda hoping for a triphasic shift or some other tell tale sign. I hate the 2ww

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? The SNOW! in addition to all the best holidays that fall during it

it looks like it could potentially help fertility, making your body "work" better and things flow the way they are supposed to flow (there's a lot of scientific jargon i'm not hitting on) there's a lot of stories out there, however, on the other hand i'm looking at as..it will happen when its going to happen and you could just be going to a chiropractor at the same time.

I used to go to one all the time it really does make you feel better.

I dipped a FRER because I couldn't wait and the second line was super faint but definitely there!

Testing plans: Tested again this morning- confused again.

Phantom Symptoms: None

Chart stalk/rant: I have been using WH Accu tests (look like wondfo cheapies in case you aren't familiar with them). On day 11 with FMU I got 3 lines, followed by a BFN with a FRER. Yesterday, BFN with WH accu and this morning 3 lines again with WH Accu with FMU and BFN with WH accu SMU. This has been a rollercoaster! Shouldn't I be getting stronger positives by day 13 if I'm pregnant???

If you google "WH Accu positive tests", you will see that there are lots of examples of three lines.

I am also on day 13 and still have high temps. I haven't passed day 11 in my four months of charting, so there's that.

I would really appreciate any thoughts, comments, reality checks.

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? Well, I live in Alberta, so I get my share of winter. I am a downhill skiier and I love getting out to the mountains.

Month/Cycle: 1/1 after 2 losses this summer CD/DPO: 22/10 Timing: O-4, -2, O, +1 Testing plans: BFNs the last two days. I got my progesterone tested yesterday and it was 15. That was good news!!! I'll test every morning till AF shows. Not confident about this cycle. Phantom Symptoms: sore boobs & tired! Chart stalk/rant: I'm just really happy to find my progesterone levels are good. GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? Being able to snuggle with DH in bed without either of us saying its to hot to touch. Haha I love having him as my heater in bed during the winter!

But, we're taking a red-eye to Ohio tonight (3 hour time difference) so I have the feeling temping is going to be less than helpful the next couple weeks. Also, going to be testing at our parents' houses while visiting them in the next two weeks. That's going to be a little stressful, ha.

Thank you ladies! This was a suprise for sure!

What we did: I propped my hips up after sex and drank during my tww which I normally don't do. I wasn't too concerned with timing sex because I wasn't too thrilled about having DH, DS, and poss. Baby all having bdays within weeks of each other so my stress about timing wasn't there.

How I told him: I said hey am I seeing things, is there a line there? He said "N- oh! I DO see a line! what does that mean?" And we hugged and I told him happy early bday.

EDD: Sept 7, 2014. 3 days after DS bday.

Mushy stuff: it's a wonder I ever got pregnant the first time around because I've learned so much from all of you! I really hope to see you all soon on 1st tri and I'm going to miss all the snark! I hope my pics show up. They were faint so I'm not sure how well they'll show on here...

So confused with this cycle. FF thinks I O on cd 10. My digital OPK confirmed, got solid CH. Temp dip at DPO 4 took away ch but following temps gave them back. Since 15 is my longest LP I'm thinking maybe I ovulated later (maybe cd 14?). I didn't have any cm until last week (was wet). Can anyone give me their thoughts? I tested with dollar store tests.

Phantom Symptoms: Nothing. At 7DPO I had a low grade fever waking up but it turned out to be the nastiest case of stomach flu I've ever had. DS also has it which has made for a crappy last few days. Needless to say, I've paid no attention to potential symptoms.

Chart stalk/rant: The only exciting part of my chart is that my temps have been well above CL, which hasn't been the case before. My temp went up yesterday and again today. I'm hopeful but I know temps really mean nothing without a +HPT.

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? The clothes and I do like the snow a little. I wish winter was only like a month long though.

Timing: I'm not sure I am going to do this right but basically - LH surge on the 21st, so I think that would make O on the 22nd - and BD basically everyday 18th-24th, except the 20th. Not sure how I would show that in the numbers you guys show. So I think good timing?
Testing plans: I am a POAS addict (this would be my 3rd child) - so I am going to try whith-hold myself until at least New Years day
Phantom Symptoms: Nothing. Just have a headache today, but I doubt related to anything.
Chart stalk/rant: I had my first two kids 5 and 6 years ago - so this has been interesting to get back into the swing of TTC after so long. I just hope I don't go crazy if it doesn't happen right away. Although based on my googling activity as of late - its not looking good for my hope to keep it off my mind

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? Celebrations - the parties, the anticipation of the holidays, the music. Love it!

Timing: -5, -4, and -2 through o

Testing plans: Christmas Day calls for a FRER, even though it will be way early. After that, not until the 30th (aka.. Every day until then)

Phantom Symptoms: I had the worst cramps yesterday! They lasted several hours and were way more intense than my AF cramps. It was also cramping in my lower back, which never happens. I thought AF was starting too, but when I went to the bathroom it was creamy cm. Never happens to me during TWW. Today, nothing. Lol. Not even sore boobs.

Chart stalk/rant: none really.

GTKY: What is your favourite part about winter? Low humidity and good hair days! In south louisiana it's always humid most months of the year. It's a nice change.
