April 2014 Moms

Back to feeling like rubbish! Bit of a rant..

Nothing could prepare me for this... I spent the first four months of this pregnancy hugging the loo, feeling dizzy and faint with low blood pressure to be told at an extra check everything was looking good, BP getting better, dizziness subsiding and a week without sickness- I started bragging about how great I felt to wake up yesterday feeling all my old symptoms doubled!! I have cried none stop, at 22 weeks 5days I stupidly thought I'd start to glow!! Feeling soooo low!! When will this stop!?
Am I alone or are there others out there the same??

  • I know how you feel. I spent weeks 5-18 completely miserable (went for IV fluids twice a week!). I started going to acupuncture and that has taken my bad days down to 1 or 2 a week. But still, once or twice a week, I vomit numerous times, feel dizzy from my insanely low blood pressure, and generally feel like crap and spend the day in bed. Celebrate every good day! And check out acupuncture. It's the only thing that's helped me at all!!!

  • Ohh, I am so sorry to hear you're feeling so low! I had almost constant morning sickness up until about week 15. I, too, have been kind of bragging about how great and amazing I've been feeling. But this weekend was a bit of a wake-up call! At 22 weeks, I was queasy almost all weekend.

I know every pregnancy is different, but I sure hope you find some relief soon. Take care of yourself!

  • I'm still taking my nausea Meds every morning or I spend the day hugging the toilet. The exhaustion is starting to wear on me. I have so much I want to do but just can't because I have no energy.
  • I'm sorry, I hope you feel better soon! Wishing you healthy pregnancy glow for Christmas.
  • I feel for you, I'm going through it once or twice a week still (it took a hiatus from 12-16 weeks though). I hope that the holidays bring you a reprieve from the misery :)

  • I'm 24 weeks and my morning sickness came back with a vegance this week too. It's so bad my Zofran isn't even helping and it did during first tri. :(

  • 25 weeks and I still have bad days where I feel so nauseous.
  • 24 weeks here still using zofran. :( it's a bummer. But in the big sceem of things 9 months is such a short period of time. Hang in there.

  • Oh you poor thing. :( I've felt great this whole pregnancy, then all of a sudden within the last few days, I've started puking every day...Almost like late onset morning sickness. It's the strangest thing! I'm also getting light headed, and have spent the last week or so nauseous pretty much all day every day. It's awful for me - I can only imagine what you must feel like! T&P that it's just a quick phase and that you'll be feeling right as rain in the next day or two!

  • It's great to know I'm not alone! Thank you ladies.
  • Hope you get to feeling better soon! :)
  • I am so sorry. Repeating the first "trimester" (mine lasted to 18) is unimaginable. Hope this is really temporary.

  • Yes, I never really started feeling better, if anything I definitely feel worse. It makes it hard to enjoy pregnancy.
