Pregnant and sick!? So not fair...

I'm 9 weeks pregnant with lots of nausea and morning sickness, fatigue, all that fun stuff. On top of that, now I've got a cold. Fan-freakin-tastic, no? Anyone know of any natural pregnancy friendly relief for this crud?

  • Sick too, so here goes: Tylenol, nasal rinse, take a shower, lots of rest, Vicks vaporub on your chest, back, neck and on the soles of your feet. Do this before you go to bed and put socks on right after you apply it, and try not to walk on them until the morning. Taking a shower is the only time I feel human, but the Vicks rub should really help with everything at night.

  • I got a really bad cold around week 9.  When I called my Dr's office, I was told I could take Tylenol severe cold.  Call your doctor too and see what they recommend.  I also had a really bad cold last time I was pregnant during my first tri.  I've read it has to do with your immune system being a little weaker from the pregnancy.  Don't know if it's true, but I'm batting .100 myself with getting sick on top of being pregnant now.
  • Pregnancy with my first son my doc said to take benedryl and sleep with tylenol if I was running a fever. I do know how you feel I had the flu a couple weeks ago and I still had to try and work, I was so miserable.
