I plan to relax! Just got some kind of bug I am coughing my head off. Had my 2nd scan this morning and everything looks perfect! 8w6d for both of them, 179hr. Due date was supposed to be July 29th but dr says she would be surprised if I make it to 4th of July!
I need some New Mexican food. I need it bad. I want to call my aunt in NM and just ask her to describe the meal they will eat tomorrow. It's an inconsolable craving, and one that can't be remedied in Oklahoma. My weekend was a mess of hormones and seasonal affected disorder, and I spent the better part of the weekend crying or feeling pissed off.
I want to call my aunt in NM. I don't stay in contact with them well since I disowned my dad, but she understood why I did and never faulted me for it. I just want to hear her voice and say merry Christmas. But I really suck at being on the phone, since I'm hard of hearing and I just...haven't talked to her in forever. I'm feeling a little homesick for the family I haven't seen in a while...
I have no goals and no plans this week. I decided I could have a free pass for Christmas. No guilt, and full enjoyment. I plan to keep walking several kilometers a day with DD if possible but this week I'm not going to feel bad if I don't quite get there.

I'm off for the next 16 days so my goal is to wear sweatpants as long as I can. At least I won't know how much weight I put on until I go back to work.
I ran 3.75 miles in the treadmill at the gym this morning and now I'm exhausted! I'm going to try to get another run in tomorrow morning and then on Friday.

Running?! I was told no running jumping or weightlifting!
Yeah. Why were you told this? Do you have special circumstances? You're fine to continue the level of working out you were doing pre-pregnancy. Most people can't continue running all the way through, but many avid runners make to 7 or 8 months.
I got I another 4 miles this morning. My OB said to keep running as long as it felt good since I was running well before I got pregnant. She said that the level of fitness you had before your pregnancy is the level of fitness you can continue with during your pregnancy. She just told me to really just listen to my body and slow down/rest if I feel tired or out of breath. I'm sure that different doctors of varying recommendations for their patients. I trust my OB and feel comfortable with the guidelines that she's given to me. Hope that explanation helps!
