Need Ideas for desserts!

If you could pick anything you wanted, what would you want for dessert?  I'm tired of the same ole thing I make. So, send me your ideas....

  • For big gatherings, I like to make Punch Bowl Cake. I usually make it with chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, whip cream and heath topping. But it's also really good with oreo crumbles, or with white cake and layers of strawberries. There's really a million options.

  • Google seven layer magic cookie bars. I always make mine with butterscotch and chocolate chips. You may need to buy enough ingredients to make a few pans, that's the magic part - they always disappear!

  • Box of angel food cake mix and 1 22oz can of pie filling in your choice. Mix them together then pour into 9x13 pan bake for 28-30 mins on 350*, serve warmish or room temp. If served room temp it will fall a little bit after you take it out. Made it with cherry, peach, apple, and strawberry, all delicious. I chop up the bigger fruit so it's spread throughout.

  • I make trifles - no specific recipe, I just add whatever I have in the house.  DH's aunt is hosting Christmas Eve this year and that's what everyone asks for.

My two faves are angel food cake, crushed nilla wafers, strawberries, blueberries, vanilla pudding and cool whip (layered in that order).

    OR

Brownie, crushed whoppers, oreos, chocolate pudding and cool whip (in that order).

They look cool and are amazing to eat :)
  • I love chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream!  And now I want angel food cake.

  • This is what I'm making... Just need another idea.... They all sound delicious! I might make two more!

    ....cinnamon rolls.

But on a more serious note, if we are talking Christmas, id say some kind of chocolate mousse / ganache cake.

Eta : buche de Noel. My grandma used to make it and it was awesome. Maybe I'll attempt one tomorrow.

  • I love chocolate silk pie. I make a simple vegan one with just two boxes of silken tofu & melted chocolate chips. Pour into pie crust & chill. It's good sprinkled with crunchy bits too. I don't know what goes into the non-vegan version though.

We are having cinnamon rolls for breakfast! :). And the cake I already made is a choc moose with ganache cake! I wanted to make something else too... Cause I have absolutely nothing else to do! (Sarcasm)

  • Sopapilla Cheesecake. If you've never had it you must google it. It will change your life!
  • I'm making cranberry meringue bars tomorrow morning.
