Trouble TTC

Update: Fridays gyno appointment. *vent and kinda long...

I am writing this mobile so hopefully it all comes out the way it's meant to. So on Friday I went to the gyno, because with my husband being in the military I have to go there before they will send me to an RE. I walked in to an empty office, which made me happy since I didn't want to see a bunch of pregnant women in there... Well in comes a girl about 20 with her new baby who is fussing and she is on her phone not paying any attention to him. Not even looking up to see why he was fussing, just ignoring him! Frustration #1! So I get called back and the nurse asks me a bunch of questions about my health and then the big one... So what brings you in today?! So I tell her infertility. She writes it down and leaves telling me the Dr. will be in soon. So I'm sitting there, and in waddles a hugely pregnant Doctor. Frustration #2! So we start talking about why I'm there. She doesn't even look up my chart or information on the computer, just starts talking and not even looking at me, and starts telling me that I need and ultrasound and I (somewhat) rudely interrupted and told her the tests I've already had and all she says is oh. So that was it... She sent a referral up to get an HSG, day 3 blood work, and to come back for a pelvic exam and to go over the results. Then at the family health clinic to get a refill on my prescriptions, 2 very pregnant girls are sitting behind the desk... Frustration #3! So all in all it was not a very successful appointment. The good news is that I have an appointment for my HSG!
Thanks for letting me vent! I hope you all have a great holiday!!!

  • Slow progress is still progress!!

I totally know where you are coming from re the fussing baby.  I cannot handle listening to babies cry.  Ok, so no normal person likes to hear an infant cry, but I literally cannot tolerate it.  I've decided that I must think that if I had an infant I would never let him/her cry.  Also I may be slightly delusional.

  • I'm with @calindi about the spouse thing, it's incredible. I'm a little older than many of the military spouses in H's squad, well, older than those having their first kid. So there are people 5+ years younger than me (I'm 30, so not old) with babies and the women who are my age or a few years older are done having kids already, some of them have teens and tweens. The questions about when we are having kids are constant. As are the babies. I'm glad you got your referral, but I'm sorry you feel you weren't listened to. I hate hearing things like that because I wish everyone could just go to my MTF because they've been lovely to me.
