Sorry for the rant

I am tired, emotional, and drained! I am sorry to drop the negative crap on this board but I have to let it go somewhere or it will spill all over my family for the holidays.  I am pretty sure that I am not pregnant. Nothing feels different, I am cramping like PMS and moody. Went ahead and POAS today to try to surprise the wife today just in case. I know at only 9dpiui it was a long haul and of course it was a BFN...I'm certain it is true.  As most would know...you always hold out some hope, but I am so scared of failing again that it just makes it hard to get in the seasonal moment.

Sorry to drop this on the board, but it is rather cathartic and a bit like free therapy.

Re: Sorry for the rant

  • You're right, 9 days *is* early.  Remember that early pregnancy symptoms are almost indistinguishable from PMS symptoms.  Wait until at least day 12 before you do another strip.  Right now you're in limbo - might be, might not be, but stressing yourself is *not* conducive to achieving pregnancy.  And trust me, I hear you on the stressors of taking awhile to conceive - we tried for almost a year before achieving success.
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • Oh that is soooooo early. We did IVF and the earliest I ever got a bfp was 10dpo and at night... Don't write it off yet. And the first time I got pregnant I felt like I had AF cramps for 3-4 weeks! It's hard but I'd wait a few days and check again. Hang in there!

  • Yes, 9 days is early! Your body has to have time for implantation, and that little bean has to start pumping HCG into your system- enough for a pregnancy test to detect. Give it time, usually test about a day before AF comes. :) TWW is awful. Just. Awful.

  • Sorry hun! but i agree that 9dpo is a bit early so of course there is still hope! keeping my fingers crossed!
  • Thanks everyone! Like I said, this board does wonders. It's just these damn TWWs. I am feeling a bit better today. Went to an intro appointment with an acupuncturist...we shall see about that as I am DEATHLY afraid of needles. I know most ppl don't like them, but I actually turn the whitest I can get and get very light headed if I even just see a needle.  However, had a lot of ppl tell me how effective it is with pregnancy and also stress. Follow up appointment on Dec 3rd. She wanted to wait and see if we were doing conception treatment or stress management and healthy pregnancy management.
