Anyone seen my libido?

I seem to have lost it. But I dont know why. My relationship with DH is awesome, we aren't stressed over money for once, we're both healthy and active, I'm excited about the near future, and we get plenty of quality time together. The only thing I can think of is that it's these damn BC Pills, but I've been on them for 10 years, and the same ones for at least 2 years. So why would I suddenly lose my sex drive this past month? Any insight ladies? Or any ideas on how to jump start it other than taking another lavish vacation?

    I find my libido is almost always low. Honestly, if DH is in the mood, I usually just go along with it. Once we get started, then I start to get in the mood. But I rarely initiate.

    Yeah, I hear that. But lately even if I try to go along with it, I just can't enjoy it. As hard as he try's my body just isn't responding, which makes him feel bad and I feel like I'm broken. It sucks. :((

    My libido has never been low exactly, but when I went off BC I was blown away by how much my sex drive increased. Now that there aren't any hormones making my body think it's already pregnant, I pretty much am ready to go all the time from CD1-17. Huge difference.

    I'm hoping that happens for me, but I still have 4 more months of pills before I get to go off. Condoms don't work for us and we don't want to start TTC any earlier then May.

    I have been on NuvaRing for three or four years now. Mine comes and goes. Some months he gets tired of me jumping him on our lunch break and others he thinks I must be mad at him for something. Haha. My average month is him initiating and after a little bit I can get into it just fine.
    I can't wait to get off BC in September and see how things change.
    Also no advice because some months I feel exactly the same. I just wait it out.

    Thanks ladies. I figured it was the BC I just wasn't sure why it waited so long to choose this fun side effect. But I guess the only answer is just because it can. Lame.

    My BC was affecting me. I had been on some form of it for almost 10 years, but never lost my drive until the last year. Thankfully DH and I are ready to start trying in a couple of months so I stopped taking BC a month ago and almost instantly my drive was back. It can definitely be a factor in what you're experiencing. My H is only disappointed now that we have to use other back-up methods, since we don't want to get pg until after February. I wanted to come off it a few months beforehand at my sisters suggestions, and to monitor my cycle without BC hormones.

    If coming off BC is NOT an option, then really take a look at why you don't have the want. I found if I read a steamy romance novel, it could help put my brain in the right place. My H isn't really good at the romance and foreplay, so if I got my mind there in advance, it was a lot easier to get in the mood. Good luck!

    This is me exactly. Drives DH crazy but ever since I had DD my libido went down to almost nothing.
