Morning sickness does not want to go away.

At 12 weeks I thought the morning sickness would at least start to get better. On the last five hours at work I have gotten sick three times.

I am starting to worry about dehydration. I honestly feel weak and drained.

Re: Morning sickness does not want to go away.

  • I'm sorry you are not feeling well! Just keep drinking water and avoid your triggers if you have found any. Unfortunately it may not go away. With DS I was sick every morning through 41 weeks.

  • Are you on Zofran? Unfortunately morning sickness doesn't go away for everyone, that's something no one ever tells you :(

  • I was just thinking this. It's getting old and I'd like to eat again.

  • I'm almost 12 weeks and as soon as I think I'm starting to feel better, it gets worse. I started drinking pink lemonade and got some preggie pop drops. They seem to help. I'm also going to try oyster crackers instead of regular saltines. They're smaller and might be easier to munch on when I'm feeling bad.
  • I am going through the same thing and it hits me right at 7 pm!! I am 12 weeks 3 days today and still no sign of it disappearing :(
  • Unfortunately it doesn't just magically disappear at 12 weeks. For some it gradually tapers off. For others, it never does. I think with DD it lasted about 6 months

  • Zofran!!! It's a miracle drug and saved me with my last pregnancy. I lost 50lbs and baby was totally fine!
  • I'm having a hard time too. 12w2d. I was hoping by Christmas I'd be feeling better. Hopefully I don't puke at any of my family's houses. Blerg!

  • Mine went away at 10 weeks... which now worries me!  I had it bad for four weeks straight and then boom!  Away it went!  I called my doctor and am waiting on a reply.  I guess I'm just paranoid, but this is my first and with no way to feel to know if is ok, I'm really really worried.

  • Missyrissy- I had morning sickness weeks 6-10 with my son. That's it. Went away overnight it seemed. And the rest of pregnancy was happy, healthy, and now he's a very intelligent 10 yr old :) Nothing to worry about there. Now I'm 8 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and have been feeling sick since week 3, so for 5 weeks straight, no end in sight. I think it must be a girl this time!
  • So glad I saw this! I'm 11 weeks and it seems like the sickness is getting worse.:(

It doesn't go away for everyone.  My SIL puked multiple times a day until delivery with all of her kids.  It sucks

  • I am in the same boat. So tired of living on the couch because every time I move I want to throw up!!! Go away sickness!
  • Zofran does nothing for me......and the triggers are many....No meat of nay kind, almost no fruit or veggies, nothing sweet, and not to much to drink...and plain water seems to make it worse as well....

  • I am at 9 weeks and have been feeling sick since week 3. My doc recommended that I take vitamin B6. It's not a miracle cure and some days are worse than otbers, but in the 2+ weeks since I started taking it daily, my symptoms have been less severe (most days).
  • My doctor wrote me a prescription for Bnexa...it has vitamin B6 and Ginger in it.  It helps most days, but still days where I am sick as a dog.

  • Water mAkes mine much worse, I have been sipping watered down fruit juice which is pretty much all I can get down:)
  • Christmas dinner and I'm curled up in bed and crying my eyes out- my insides feel like a sponge being wrung out. Can't get water down. Nothing helps. No one warned me it would be this awful!
