Cooked shrimp ideas?

I have a bag of frozen cooked shrimp that I need to use.  I figured I could make something for Christmas Eve at my grandparents house, we do appetizer type grazing all evening.  Any suggestions?

Re: Cooked shrimp ideas?

  • Keep it simple!!!  Boil it up, put it on ice to keep them food-safe and put some dip in a bowl!  Though - be kind and peel/devein the shrimp!

  • Shrimp dip? I've never seen already cooked frozen shrimp...what do you usually do with it? Does it get rubbery if you cook it more?
  • Grilled shrimp bruschetta
  • My favorite ways to cook shrimp: *sautéed in garlic and butter and serve over pasta
*grill and season with lime, garlic, cilantro. Serve on skewers over rice
*breaded and fried, can serve with French fries or rice
  • I add already cooked shrimp to stir-fry, pasta Alfredo, and jambalaya. I just add it thawed about 2 minutes before serving. It just gets heated through; not cooked more. I also make shrimp cocktail (chili sauce, Worcester sauce, horseradish, lemon juice and a splash of hot sauce) and it's really good.
  • I personally would not serve cooked, frozen shrimp as shrimp cocktail. Can't imagine anything being worse in fact. It needs to be boiled in spice!
