So I got a tattoo when I was in my teens of a rose on my stomach. After 3 previous pregnancies, my tattoo is now a rather odd looking blob that could potentially be a rose. Not to mention the fact that it has moved to my side. Point here is that my stretched belly stretched my tattoo. I totally regret getting it on my stomach now. Anyone else have this issue?

Also, if you have/had a belly ring, what did you do with it when you became pregnant? I had to take mine out and replace it with a plastic ring.

W DS I tried the leave the belly ring in for as long as possible. But then a bought a long flex ring to put in. I bought it off line for like $5 I think. But by 8m or so I had to just take it out started to hurt.

I took my belly button ring out. I figure if I miss it too much, I get get it redone when we're done having kids.

Maybe you can get it covered afterwards? I left my sides, hips, and stomach without any tattoos for that reason. After I'm done with kids, I might get some there though. I know a lot of people have had success with those long flex belly rings.

I have a belly ring I took out with two previous pregnancies, and then just shoved it back in later on lol, it hurt. But this time I think I might get one the longer rubbery ones and see how that goes, but I don't want to take it out again thats for sure. All my tattoos are on my arms and chest, hopefully my chest piece somehow doesn't stretch as Im normally very flat chested lol and now I have boobs again LOL…. I should watch that.

My only tattoo is on my shoulder so that isn't a worry. I took my belly ring out once we started trying because I didn't want to deal with it during pregnancy.

None of my tattoos are in areas that would stretch. My friend has a dragon on her front hip going onto her stomach. Still looks good after 2 kids.

My belly ring I took out when you could see it through my shirt lol. Slipped back in after though.

I'm still trying to figure out what happens with nipple rings and breast feeding? Do you take them out/put back in each time you nurse, or leave out for months and pray the holes don't close.

I have tattoos on the front of each hip (on the pelvic bone, I guess). When I got the first one, the tattoo artist warned me that it could get stretched during pregnancy, which at the young age of 19 I wasn't too concerned with. It was actually the other one that is up more on my stomach and did stretch the last time, but it went back to normal after.

I took my belly button ring out last time when it became uncomfortable and I haven't put it back in. I'm in no position to be showing off my stomach these days.

I am going to take my belly ring out as soon as it starts getting irritated with my pants on. I've had it for 14 years, and I've had my nipple ring for 13 years. Nipple will come out probably about the same time.

I took out my belly ring last night. Last time I left it in too long, and it stretched out a bit, then closed, I had to push the ring through hard, so essentially repierced it, and it just never went back to where it was. I was thinking of just poking something through it every morning, so it doesn't close. IDK if that will work.

i can't imagine bfing and having a nipple ring.

I got my tattoos when I was younger with future pregnancies in mind. I was a weird 18-20yr old I guess. I took my belly ring out by the third tri last time and never bothered to put it back in.

I have tattoos on my hips and now I'm terrified O___O I know of one other person who had hip tattoos and a couple of kids, and hers look fine, so I guess I will just hope.

I'll probably take out my belly button ring when it becomes a nuisance.

My tattoos are on the outside part of both my ankles; now I'm wondering how badly they'll look if/when my feet/ankles swell. ~___~U AH WELL.

@lori_n_lior i have a tattoo around my belly button too and it's quite big lol I'm a little worried... Do you happen to have any pictures of your belly when you were pregnant?

And has anyone else experienced itching with any of their tats during pregnancy? My first tat i got when i turned 18 is now very itchy and bumpy

My tats are on my legs. Hopefully the one on my thigh doesn't stretch out too much.
