I never realized people had an issue with this until I joined the bump. I find the obsession with how babies are dressed to be kind of weird. They are babies. I haven't read through the next 4 pages so I'm sure more was said on this, but I totally agree with you @mslaurats. I think it's downright ridiculous to spend a bunch of money on a bunch of 2 piece outfits for my child to roll around on the floor and stuff at daycare and then outgrow said outfit in less than 3 months. If (on the rare occasion) we go to a friends house or out somewhere, I do get her dressed, but more to get use out of the outfits we've been given than because I care at all how people feel about how I've dressed my child. Her footed sleepers are warm and cozy and she spends at least a 1/3 of her day at daycare sleeping...why would I want to put her in a pair of jeans or something for that? When she is walking, I will dress her in pants and a shirt, so that she can comfortably wear shoes to toddle around in. But that makes sense to me. Clothes are for the parents, not for the baby. Baby just wants to be comfortable. Ok...rant over.

Gah! I don't feel like saying a baby looks like a 10 yr old is necessarily negative and as a matter of fact I repeated several times that he was a very cute baby, he just had a mature looking face! @laurenjeff 10 took it lightly and thats how it was meant!

No but really, I knew which baby was your's before you even posted the pics because I always found him adorable. I don't see the 10 year old thing at all. I have a friend who has a baby girl and people tell her she has a "little girl face" instead of a baby face. She is a gorgeous baby so I think they just mean she doesn't have the typical big cheeks and pudgy nose that a lot of babies have.

I also loved your response to the comment. Too funny.

@huzzahuzza I do think your comment was a bit more rude than you are trying to play it off. You did say "too old looking for me and it creeps me out"... That IS kind of negative and if you didn't mean it in a negative way, why was it an FFFC? Why not just a general comment on the HDBD thread?

I was also going to point out that Shantxtell never use the word "hate" or even close to that but someone beat me to it.

I've got to be honest. I became 100% uncomfortable with this post the second huzzahuzza called out a baby. I personally wouldn't call out another lady that I don't like because that is just not my style. but I think shank and this mom have had pretty raw comments before so it doesn't come as a surprise. I could give 2 shits about what another mom thinks about me but comment on my child (other than to tell me how beautiful she is of course) and you've joined the cuntcake list. I'm glad LaurenJeff took it lightly because her little one is freaking adorable. I never get involved in the drama because I'm a pansy ass but I felt the need to say something here.

And I agree. She completely violated terms of use by hawking her business, even worse by LYING about it and acting though it wasn't hers, then came back under a NEW name and is posting like nothing ever happened. I have been hoping she'd go away too. I feel like this group is pretty supportive and friendly. And someone who lied to me for profit isn't someone I care to associate with, even online I think it takes away from our group. As for the 10 year old baby, I thought it was kind of an unspoken understanding that if "you don't have anything nice to say about a baby, don't say anything at all." And, huzza, your tone has changed a lot from "freaked out" to "mature looking."

so for me ...the women to women call outs...are not always totally ethical and I don't always agree with them but they give this board a little drama which keeps things entertaining...but calling out a baby....that really bothered me. I am surprised that it didn't bother the mom.

It did initially seem un-Shank-like to not say right off who she meant, obvious as it may have been. After the explanation, I get it.
