we've probably gotten 2-4 inches in total so far. not a lot, but enough to cover the ground and to have it packed on all the side roads. thankfully, a lot of the big storms that have been going through have been just going over or under us so we don't get much or not at all.
i just hope we don't have a repeat of last winter. we got barely anything through february and then it kept snowing all the way until may. it was ridiculous.
my older family members still find these small amounts of snow weird as they are all used to having walls of snow and snow up to their roofs. my parents used to tell us all the time about how they used to sled or jump off their roofs into the snow. and i've seen the pictures of the walls of snow.
My parents too! Walls of snow that towered over their heads. So crazy to think about having that much snow.
I think we got about 6-8 inches last weekend. But it warmed up and today it's raining and all the snow is gone. When I was in law school, I had to walk to class and the drifts were up to my hips. I'm glad we don't get lake effect snow where we live now!
We've had a dusting, but never enough to even make a snowball. We are currently getting freezing rain and it is supposed to turn to snow tonight. They are estimating 6 inches of snow tonight/ tomorrow.
We had 4 inches last weekend and are anticipating up to 8 inches today/tomorrow. We plan to leave on Monday and head east where they are also getting the snow/wintry mix. This seems like a repeat of last years Christmas weather. We had really bad travel weather last year and cars were in the ditch everywhere!
Re: Snow
Now it is almost 60 degrees out. Crazy!!!!
I'm in NY.
