Circumsision: yes, but I really left that up to DH because I don't have a big view either way so I left it up to him because he obviously has experience with those parts.
BFing: yes. But as a FTM I'm hoping that everything goes well that allows me to do it because I do plan on pumping also because I will be working. But in case something goes wrong I'm not opposed to formula feeding and have been doing my research just to have bases covered
Vaccines: yes but will probably do the delayed. I hate vaccines. I never get a flu shot and the stupid guardisil didn't even work for me.
Pro-choice/life: I guess I'm pretty split. On one hand I'd never ever do it. I don't think I could. And I do believe that life begins at conception. HOWEVER. I don't believe that me or any politician or anyone else has a right to tell another woman what to do with her body. And if its made illegal it will do more harm than good IMO. I rarely post my views on this topic but since you ladies have been so polite I didn't feel scared to say how I felt!
Pro-choice. For all the reasons listed above, as well as the fact that if someone is seriously considering abortion for whatever reason, that child is probably better off not coming into this world. And unfortunately, it's just not rational to expect all of those unwanted children to be adopted. However, for situations like those mentioned where multiple abortions are had because it's "like birth control," we need to have some serious monitoring and therapy for some of these people. If you have more than 3 abortions without legit reasons, you should have to be spayed. (Sorry if that comes off harsh, but I have known people with that attitude and they have no right to be bringing a child into the world...) I do also agree about the need for family planning education. I think it should be mandatory, but that will never happen.
I think 3 is generous...I am pro-choice and I understand mistakes happen but you should also learn from them.
Circumcision - yea Breastfeeding- ill attempt for 10 days Vaccination- I say no now but we will see Pro choice. Your body your choice. However I don't believe in it being used as a form of birth control
ETA: I know I'm likely going to get flamed for this, but it is a genuine question. For those who are pro-choice but so against the woman not using BC and having multiple abortions - why is that? If you don't feel that abortion is wrong, why would it matter to you the reason that someone else is choosing to have one? What is the harm that she's doing? This is 0% snarky. I'm genuinely asking because I don't understand that line of thinking. I think that most people who are pro-life would say that they believe the baby is a person and that it equates to murder, and that would be the issue. To be pro-choice, you must not feel quite that way, right? So what does it matter to you if someone has an abortion because something terrible has happened or due to their own "irresponsibility." Just trying to understand!
I believe people have the right to choose what to do with their body but I do not believe that aborting a baby when both mom and baby are healthy and the baby wasn't conceived under terrible circumstances is the best option. I was adopted at birth and am thankful my birthmom gave me life. I will not judge you based on your decision but that doesn't mean I support it either, in that I would have made the same choice, because I wouldn't. Just because someone is pro-choice doesn't mean they like abortion or even necessarily support it. That is where you will find people who have issue with someone essentially using it as birth control. I agree that better education would be more valuable.
@MississippiCatfish I mever meant that I'm not ok with having multiple abortions if that's what a person feels is best. I do feel like it's not the best option for preventing pregnancy, considering the physical toll an abortion has on a woman's body. I think that more education would prevent the need for multiple abortions.
I think about it this way: you have the right to shoot (and kill) an intruder if you fear for your life. So are you going to leave all your doors and windows open and shoot everyone who comes in and tries to rob and or harm you? Or are you going to close and lock your windows and doors? Just because you have the right to take a life doesn't mean you shouldn't find ways to prevent that from happening... Especially when its something as simple as locking a door, or putting on a condom.
ETA: in reference to why women shouldn't use abortion as birth control.
I think that's a good example. My biggest pet peeve with anti-choice people (specifically politicians, not people here) is that not only are they against abortions, but they tend to be against sex ed and birth control too. And then to top it off, they are usually the first to cut social and education programs. So sticking with the example, is like saying you can't defend your home against intruders, but you also can't lock your doors, have to pretend that break ins never happen in the first place, and if they do, your insurance claims will be denied.
Circumcision: yes Breast feeding: yes Vaccination: hell yes Pro choice/pro life: Morally, I am pro-life and spent a good deal of research coming to that decision during a med-ethics class in college. It gets a bit iffy with medical reasons for mother/baby, and I hope and pray I am never in that situation. However, I do not believe that my moral stance on abortion should apply to legality. I feel that making abortions illegal is just unsafe and will lead to infections and way more health problems than necessary.

Gotcha. I think maybe I was reading the "morality" tone when it wasn't there for some posters. Thanks for responding.
Circumcision: yes Breast feeding: absolutely Vaccinations: yes Pro life/pro choice: I'm both actually. I am pro life for myself. I would never be able to terminate a pregnancy. But I believe in not judging others and letting them choose for themselves.
Circumcision: yes
Breastfeeding: I'll try but I want to be kinder to myself this time. Last time it didn't go well at all, and I really beat myself up about it. I ended up pumping and feeling really guilty that we just couldn't get the hang of it. It became a huge sense of stress and anxiety for me. I'm hoping it goes better this time around.
Vaccinating: yes
Pro-life/Pro-choice: choice. I don't think I could ever do it and I guess I am pro-life for myself, but it's not my place to judge anyone for such a personal decision. Women should have the choice and a safe place to go if they need.
Circumcision: Probably not. DH is not and you would never even know, but we are still discussing.
Breastfeeding: Yes
Vaccination: Most likely. I still want to do some research on it to see what all the controversy is about.
Pro Choice. And even more so after having an ectopic pregnancy. I now know first hand how dangerous and scary pregnancy can be. Even a normal pregnancy and delivery have risks associated with them, and to tell a woman she has to accept those risks and not have the option to terminate, even in a "normal" pregnancy is just wrong to me. You should be able to make your own decisions about something that has such a huge impact on your own body.
Also, by the strictest definitions, the ectopic pregnancy was a life and we chose to take measures to terminate it. For most people I think this would fall under the medical exception to their pro-life stance but for some very hard core people I think they would consider it an abortion and be judgmental about it and I just think that's ridiculous.
BF: probably not. Although they say breast is best that was not true for my DD. I had to pump with my DD because she was not allowed to eat for the first 8 days of her life. When we started to introduce her to feeds she was only allowed a certain amount at a time so she had to be bottle fed the breast milk. She would get such horrible cramps and had constipation issues. It could have been something in my diet that was doing it to her but my supply was horrible so we decided to switch to formula. She didn't get cramps anymore and we didn't have any constipation problems. I also liked that my husband could feed her and form a bond with her. And he helped out with the late night/early morning feedings.
