    Thank you for sharing your story and little girl with us! :) There's a little boy at my school who was also born with one kidney, and other than having drink restrictions, you wouldn't know it! He's one of the cutest, most energetic little boys there. :) And I thank God we live in a country where modern medicine and technology are advanced and readily available to daily perform surgeries that correct cleft palates and things like that, so that babies are able to go on living complication-free lives. We are truly blessed. I'll be praying for your precious baby girl. :)

    Beautiful! I've also got a friend whose 2 ye old had cleft lip and palate. You honestly would never know. Medical technology has seriously blown me away with this procedure. Good luck on more testing, mama!

    She looks sweet. I love your outlook, I know that we forfeited our genetic testing since she is my baby no matter what, and will be overwhelmed with love once she gets here no matter if she isn't what we had imagined.

    She's gorgeous!! Also, I just wanted to let you know that I had a little boy in my care for 3 years who was born with only one kidney, and he is a thriving almost 7-year-old now. One kidney isn't so bad. Fingers crossed that your daughter's palate will be the only major concern. Please let us know what you find out.

    They have come very far on fixing cleft palates my cousins neice had one at birth and you could never tell now.

    My mom only had one kidney and they found out accidentally when she was in her 60s. :)

    Yay! So glad to hear about the good results so far! Your baby is beautiful now and will be beautiful when she is born, both before and after surgery. As PP have said, it's amazing what can be done with cleft lip/palate repair these days, to the point where you can't even tell the difference between a child that was born with or without one. And of course having a single kidney is something you can live a very healthy life with! Keeping my fingers crossed that those are the last of your concerns! If so, while we can't pretend that the journey won't be difficult, I think we can agree that the outcome will be positive! (Hugs) to you, your DH, and your darling girl.

    So glad you got some good news! Your daughter already has such an amazing mama - I am truly inspired by the positivity you have brought to this stressful situation. If I can handle the struggles in my daughter's life with half as much grace as you have shown, I will consider myself lucky.

    And she is incredibly cute! Congratulations on your lovely girl.
