So every week I take a pichure of my bump sideways on standing in front of the Miorr just wearing a thong. So my bestfriend Danielle Is making some kind of scrap book for me with all my pictures etc. She text me saying send me week 13 and without thinking I sent it to Danny who's my husbands brother I'm mortified I'm dreading seeing him

‘Learnt’ or ‘learned’?
These are alternative forms of the past tense and past participle of the verb learn. ‘Learnt’ is more common in British English, and ‘learned’ in American English. There are a number of verbs of this type (burn, dream, kneel, lean, leap, spell, spill, spoil etc.). They are all irregular verbs, and this is a part of their irregularity.

Learnt is an acceptable spelling. Its actually the correct spelling. You just don't see it very often these days.
I'd be mortified too, but I'm sure it'll blow over!

I don't get the mortification I guess. A scrapbook of thong photos is ok but having your BIL see them is not?

If I sent that to my BIL I'd just say "uh, sorry that wasn't intended to sear your eyes out, just go about your business sir." If you act like it's no big deal then hopefully he will too.

I would totally play it off like, "Hopefully you're not permanently blind now!" I might be more embarrassed that my girlfriend was collecting my thong pics for a scrapbook but I am more on the modest side. I have a collection of photos but there weren't even really any bare bellies till the end. To each her own.

I have been bestfriends with her for 13 years and I'm god parent to her son. So she's more like a sister to me. This is my first pregnancy so I'm probably a little over the top like taking pics each week etc. I think it's lovely how involved my friend is she's even organizing my baby shower. I think it's funny how curtain people are disgusted in me sending my friend a pic of my bump with underwear on. I dread to think what you'll be like giving birth in front of doctors etc with guess what.....no underwear.

On the other hand my BIL thought it was funny and were all laughing about it he's enjoying winding me up

Medical professionals seeing you bottomless to deliver a child is much different than sending your friend pictures of you in a thong every week. I have a biological sister, and I wouldn't send her baby bump pictures of me in a thong. I send them with me in full clothing. Modesty is a really good trait, IMO.

You may be right that "learnt" is acceptable in spelling, but "picture" can't be changed to "pichure" and "certain" and "curtain" are different words entirely.

I would be more concerned with my child ever looking back to see pictures of me in a thong...i certainly don't ever EVER want to see my own mother in one.

That's what I'm wondering... who is the scrapbook for? You and DH? Would you let your kid see it, because if you wig out about your BIL seeing it then I'd think you wouldn't want the kid too either.

I say Rock your thong if your comfortable!! Your body, your rules.
Man me and my bestie are often in states of undress around one another.
Mostly around getting ready to go it/ clothes swaps/ shopping etc.
if you want to document the changes in your body this way and your comfy do it up girlfriend!!
It's hilarious you sent it to your BIL that was good for giggles.

I would be pretty embarrassed if I did the same but in sure it's just turn in to a really funny story of the million embarrassing things I do

My best friend is a professional photographer who lives far away from me so can't take these pictures herself so asks me to do it. I thought it was best to take in my underwear as you can see more of a change in your body. She is documenting MY pregnancy and taking week by week pictures so once the baby's born it will be a gift to me and my husband ONLY. For someone who used to weigh 39kg and is recovering from anorexia I feel it's important to document on how my body is beautifully changing and if I choose to do it in just my underwear then that's down to me! It's quite nice to compere to my old photos to see how far I've come and reminds me of the little miracle that's growing inside me it's actually helping me on the road to recovery.

* I'm am sorry for rabbiting on but it angers me when people are saying "thong photos" like I should be ashamed of myself. Well I'm sorry ladies but I'm not. And mummy 23 munchkins I do have modesty - maybe you shouldn't be so judgmental.

No offense, but when you bring this to a public forum, of your own volition, you have to expect some kind of a mixed response. It's not typical practice or something that you gave any background information/explanation of other than you take pictures of yourself in a thong, weekly, and send them to a friend for documenting. Many, myself included, would find that a bit peculiar. If you don't care to hear other opinions, maybe keep it to yourself.

It's quite funny really as I personally thought sending it to my BIL is a lot worse than sending it to my best-friend. I haven't said I don't care what people think as we're all entitled to our own opinions just makes me wonder that's all. God it's worse than a school playground on here
