BBT rise if you're hungover?

Hello, I just started taking my BBT this month.  I'm on CD18 and I saw a jump of over a degree on Wednesday, so of course I thought I ovulated.  Now I'm thinking it's just because I was hungover that day. Is this possible, or am I over-thinking?  I'm new to this so I feel like I'm not fully understanding the patterns yet.  My BBTs have been really low, in the low 96's, so anything over 97 to me seems high.

    Sure, it's totally possible.  You might want to link your chart and people can take a look.  It's easier when we can see it and give you suggestions and sometimes see things you might miss.

    I didn't get the temperature in the mail until after my period, so it really isn't much to go off of yet.  I'm afraid it might not make sense to me for a while.

    Without fail, my temp spikes after a night of even just a (large) drink or two. :( This past month's chart was a wash for me because it's the holidays and I've been indulging in the booze more...so yeah, this next month I need to lay off because the real TTC is about to begin!

    My temp is high when I've been drinking more than a drink or two. Just note it in the notes and see what happens. I still see an O-shift even with the random peaks due to drinking.

    some times i get a temp spike the morning after drinking and sometimes i get a temp dip when drinking.

    i also see that your using ovuline,  i used that too at one point. its great to keep track of symptoms and what not, but that goes by ovulation on CD14 which we know, the majority of people dont ovulate on exactly cd14. The yellow 'high fertility line'' never matched up with my impending/ confirmed O. I made the permanent switch to FF.  just thought i would share!

    Yeah, I don't really know the length yet, so I'm just guesstimating it's this week or next.  I should have a better grasp next month if nothing happens. (I sure hope so.)

    Alcohol is known for messing up BBT. Ever wake up in the middle of the night after a bender absolutely burning hot?
