So we went to see Santa. And mother of the year over here didn't bring a diaper bag because it was going to be quick. I was right, it was a quick in and out picture. Like 10 mins total. But little turkey man decided to shit himself just as we were pulling into the mall. So he sat on santas lap with a poopy diaper.
what magical place do you live in that you can get in and out of the mall in 10 min and not have a line for santa!!

It took me 10 minutes just to find a parking spot yesterday!
visiting my sister in tiny ass east Texas. Yay for small town livin' @lisarene77 I'm just a jump away from ya in Nacogdoches visiting. I'd never go to see Santa in Dallas. That's a breakdown waiting to happen.
WTF!? you better let me know next time you're coming this way. That's only an hour away. I swear we need to organize a Texas A13 get together. I've been thinking about it a LOT lately. There are quite a few of us.

yes, we should!  I know I don't post too much but I would be down!  I'm in Dallas.

Let's revisit this idea in the spring, when it's nicer outside. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to plan.

This is exactly what I was going to post.  :)

Also, I haven't bought anything for LO really.  I bought her a couple of little toys/rattles, but that's it.  The grandparents are going crazy and I'm okay with that.  But it's not all my idea, I would have gone crazy if DH would have let me. :)

Aaannnddd DH and I don't buy each other anything.  Ever.  We never exchange gifts.  Mostly because we generally end up getting anything we really want.  We don't get to spend a ton of time together because he works a lot, so we usually spend the money we'd spend on gifts on doing something together.  For instance, for Christmas this year, he is taking a week of vacation after the new year and we're going to Chicago for the day.

  • @sftbllstr87 I "love it" because I can relate, not because I actually love it lol

At least I'm not the only one! It bothers me bc with DS I lost the weight like instantly and now 4.5 months later
I'm still not where I wanna be!

@sftbllstr87 if it makes you feel any better I'm not even in fat pants...still rockin my maternity pants over here. And that probably won't change over the winter. unless leggings count?

My fffc...I've never been to sephora. I hear they have awesome perfume though!

Winter is ruining all hopes of this weight leaving! Besides the delicious food and goodies everywhere (work, parties, family gatherings) it's too dark and cold all the time who wants to workout when you could be snuggling ok the couch under a blanket
  • Dudes- I'm off the deep end. MH and I are so fucked. We started watching The Walking Dead 2 weeks ago and have finished every season to the current episode. We have watched so much zombie shit in a 2 week period that we have officially started to believe that this could and might actually happen. All we have started to talk about is what we would do when (not if) the disease starts killing people off. Do we make a bomb shelter now? Should we start working on our archery skills? What age exactly would we let little Alabama use a gun to shoot walkers? We've lost it folks. I need more friends. @bellaoso this is what you're dealing with over here.
i think i missed the confession

On the other end of the spectrum, mine is getting a 3 ft tall teddy bear for Christmas. They were 70% off, so I got one for him and one for my niece. I'm actually a little more excited about giving one to her, because she's 4 and she will know what's going on.

In regards to V&G's post--honestly I don't think I could SAH. I'm pretty sure I would go insane. So many people at work have told me, "Oh it must be so hard to be away. I'm sure you miss your baby so much". And, sure I do, but I enjoy working too. There are pros and cons to both. If you could see the evil eye I get when I say being a working mom works for me... wow. People do not like hearing that.

Basically, different strokes and all that. I do think it's messed up how judgmental people are of mothers, especially the ones who want to SAH but need to work.

I'm convinced now. We must meet! Were like the same person.....I agree with everything you just said.

The vermont teddy bear promo from the today show!?! We got LOs in the mail today?  You won't be disappointed!

I've been planning a huge 1st Christmas for DD since she was born.  I love Christmas and have probably gone a bit overboard but I dont care.  I guess that's my confession.  You only get one 1st Christmas for your 1st baby :)

Um we have "bug out" bags and we know where we will rendezvous once the zombie apocalypse begins. DH keeps insisting we need more ammo. We are starting to look like we belong on doomsday peppers.

Since giving birth, I'm too scared to wear perfume, change body wash, or use scented lotion because I'm nervous LO won't recognize my smell.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I didn't wear perfume until this month!

I'm pretty sure doing all that won't cover this post partum smell. I swear having a boy made me smell like one.

Seriously since I met my DH this is about 50% of our conversations. He is obsessed with end of world scenarios whether it be zombies or aliens, etc, he is prepared. He has a series of plans written out. He has a meet up spot for all of our families up north "off the grid".

Now that we have DS he is constantly worried about how we will travel to said spot with LO and our dog.

I am right there with you!! I need a smaller bottle of lotion for traveling this weekend (I am obsessed with my lotion), and I have Aveeno that I keep at work on my desk that would be perfect to travel with, but I use Vaseline's Cocoa Butter normally. I decided to get a smaller thing of the Cocoa butter on my lunch today so I dont confuse LO.

YES! Ours came on Monday, even though the email said they'd be delivered today. They're so awesome and squishy! I agree about baby's first Christmas. We also took the opportunity to have some awesome 3 month photos done. This is only happening once, and I'll make the celebration as big as I want (and can afford) to.
