Good excuses for medical appointments to keep my secret please?

in 1st Trimester
I work with the nosiest and most gossipy group of women in the world as a teacher and have a midwife appointment and scan in the first 2 weeks of lent term, they will have to know about me being absent due to covering classes and playground duties unfortunately Any clever excuses would be greatly received!

    Just say a doc appt. And for the other say it's a follow up. That essentially is the truth--they don't need details. I find it's too easy to get caught in the lies.

    Thank you for replying, unfortunately I am the kind if person who is never ever off work, my doctors surgery is open till 8pm so I never let my kiddies down and I am worried about slipping up by lying!

    Is illegal for them to require your reason. Just tell them you're going to the dr. If they have a problem with that... Tell them to take it up the chain. If YOU let it bother you, no one can help that but you.

    Just tell them it's a "family matter" that you have to tend to. It isn't a lie. If you say it's a doctor appt, they will draw the conclusion for themselves.
