FYI- Target Card Security Breech

Saw this on the news this morning. I've been trying to log in and check my account, but I'm guessing their system is overwhelmed with others trying to do the same thing.

I would still double check your statements. The actual news broadcast said it was possible that thieves can take money out of your checking account via the debit card if they crack the pin number. It would definitely be worth monitoring!

At the very bottom of that link it says to check your statements. If you see that you've been affected, contact Target and/or your bank. Apparently the breech happened between 11/27 and 12/15 so it's likely that the theft could have already occurred from the cards. Either way I don't think it would be a bad idea to contact your bank just in case.

We saw that last night and have been keeping an eye on our debit account since then. So stressful! What is wrong with people?

@HannahAlex I read the same thing, I think it is all Visa & Mastercards.

Regardless, I shop at Target like 2 times a week, will definitely be monitoring my account. Thank you for sharing!

This is so crazy. We shop Target all of the time for diapers, wipes, formula, etc. Of course I am trying to get onto the site to check my account and the page is failing to load- I think everyone is trying to do the same thing. Thanks for posting!
