He goes down for good any time between 9 and 1130. If he's asleep before 9, it ain't going to stick.
That first block is usually our longest - between 2.5 and 4 hrs. After that its 90 mins to 2.5 hrs.
I dunno about tips cuz I'm a FTM and don't claim to know anything ... we keep lights low, use lavender sleep lotion, and try to make sure he's warm (fuzzy sleeper over a onesie and then swaddle)
We went quite a long time, til about 7 weeks, with a late bedtime (10pm most nights, sometimes as late as 1am on bad nights). We really struggled to get her to sleep, and she'd wake hourly a few times before finally going down for a longer stretch. I hated bedtime and changed a few things. Whether it was the things I changed, or whether she was just ready to sleep better, I don't know.
But what I changed was to increase daytime naps to the extent that I could, reintroduced the swaddle, started putting her down in a lower light quieter room (I had been using our LR because I could watch TV during the 3 hours it was taking me to get her to sleep UGH), and put her down earlier. Now we start her bedtime routine about 6:30, and she's usually asleep for the night by 7 or 7:30. So much better for all of us.
Current bedtime routine is DH and I eat dinner, then I take her into her BR where there is low light, change her into her big night diaper (we cloth diaper), swaddle snugly, feed her in the glider, and rock until she's 90+% asleep, then transfer to her crib.
FTM so I'm grasping too. We had a few consecutive nights of STTN (9/10pm to 5/6am) but LO has since decided that's not for him. Our routine is about 8:30pm we do a bath, and lotion/massage, a final feed and some rocking, then put in crib drowsy but awake.
Ok if I type this I better not get any bad juju, so I'm fending off bad karma now. Also I'm totes not typing this to rub anything in, just sharing our schedule and to say at 9 weeks it was like a switch flipped, before then he was waking up every 2 hours.
DS goes to sleep anywhere from 8-9:30pm. Routine is I take him up to bed we change his diaper, put his pjs on, swaddle him in the swaddleme and then I take him into bed with me to nurse. At this point lights are off and tv is on but low volume. I nurse him pretty much to sleep then burp and transfer him to the cosleeper. He sleeps anywhere from 5-7 hours with that first stretch.
Then he'll wake for another diaper change and nursing session then is back to sleep for another 3-4 then he's up for the day.
He's 11 weeks and has been doing this for about 2 weeks now with the exception of Sunday night when he wasn't feeling well.

This is exactly our bedtime routine as well. LO sleeps 7-545/7
Our routine is bath every night with calming bath wash at 8:30, put pjs on and swaddle. Give her last bottle while rocking and she's finishes that between 9-9:15. We rock for about 15 more minutes she's usually 90%-100% asleep by this point and we put her down. She's been sleeping from 9-9:30 to 5:30-7:30.

This is us exactly. And I'm a STM and all babies are different.

This is exactly our routine. We just started about a week ago but it's going great! First stretch is usually about 5-7 but after that I usually lay with her for the second stretch. But I go back to work Friday and we gets shots tomorrow so I'm sure it's all goin to change. She's 8 1/2 weeks
It's depends how tired he is and if he is giving sleepy cues. But generally between 7-8:30 and he will sleep until anywhere from 1am-4am.
Our routine is diaper change, swaddle, feed him and rock him to sleep or close to it. I also use the sleep sheep and a humidifier not sure if those actually help but it's just part of our routine now.
Emery is 9 weeks old and we put him in his fleece sleeper and change his diaper, then give him a bottle and usually when it's time to burp he passes out. If he is still awake we just rock until he is super drowsy or asleep. Swaddling for us is key. He sleeps til about 4ish, gets up and has a diaper change, then eats and then back to bed until 6:30ish
We feed DD around 7-7:30 downstairs in the living room. After she eats we burp and change her then take her upstairs to her room. We turn on the sleep sheep and the humidifier. All lights are off except the night light. We sit in the glider and rock and chat with her quietly until she gets drowsy (normally fusses for her pacifier). At this point we stop chatting and just rock until she closes her eyes. Then we put her down in her crib and that's that. She's usually down and asleep by 8:30-9PM and will sleep until 3-4AM (on occasion 5-6AM), get up to eat, and go back down until 7:30-8AM.
My kid is 7 weeks and hates sleep, therefore he hates me. The last 4 nights he's decided to become a cranky crying mess from 7-9, so we spend all that time doing whatever we can to calm him. Usually thats nursing, rocking, diapers, stand and bounce, pray that tomorrow will be easier, etc. He used to hate his swing, but sometimes it can calm his little ass down (but only during this time, in the afternoon he hates on it). Usually by 9 we are all tired of crying and we can get him into the crib. We swaddle in a Halo swaddle sack with a long sleeved onesie and some socks. He will knock out until 12 and be up every 2 hours after that until 6 when he chats with himself in the crib until 7, when he simply will not stand for it any more. My kid is difficult.
@mosymama I've been bad about routines too. Between our toddler, DH's work schedule, and not getting enough sleep at night, I feel like we're just surviving and not doing things routinely. I am really trying to make an effort to settle into at least a good wake-up and bedtime routine to keep those times consistent. She has just not been able to stay asleep for more than 30 min in her crib at night, so mornings have been incredibly tough. One of these days i think we'll just find ourselves in a routine...
We still haven't really established a bedtime routine yet. I know it's terrible and I tell dh that we should, but she is just a ball of energy at night. Like right now, she's just kicking away in the bouncer.
The few times I've tried she just will not go to sleep and usually it's easier to keep her up until I go to sleep around 11ish.

It depends on when he eats. For ex, tonight he hasn't eaten since 5:30 and is asleep in the bouncer. He will wake up anytime now. DH will feed him, then lay him down for the night 30 minutes after he is done eating. So around 11. He will be wide eyed and bushy tailed around 5 or 6am. After his first morning feed, I'll lay him back down and may get another 1-2 hours of sleep.
LO gets a 4oz bottle between 10 and 10:15 diaper change at 11 then I lay her down with her paci and a teddy bear hooked on the outside of the PNP that makes a heartbeat sound. She's normally out by 11:15 or 11:30 at the latest and sleeps normally until 6 but the last 2 nights she has slept until 7.
We do a diaper change and jammies around 8:15, and then I swaddle her up and nurse her in our bedroom while we watch Daniel tigers neighborhood with ds (lol) and when she is done I burp her and lay her down drowsy. She's usually out by 9, and gets up between 5:30 and 6.
If it is bath night, we start the routine about 7:45. He bathes, massaged with lotion and then put into pjs. Then we give him a few minutes to unwind in his crib (he loves his mobile). By 8:30, he is swaddled and H gives him his bottle (4oz). Then H rocks him to sleep. Normally, he is down by 10 and wakes up around 3 or later. I feed him and have him back down in an hour or so, where he sleeps another couple of hours.
Non-bath night is similar but with me bfing up to around 8/quiet routines.
