I like how all these serious threads turn into food discussions. OP: my baby sleeps through the night J13: Burn her at the stake! Jackson: Pieeeeeeeeee
All I can think about is food right now.

I'm baby sitting my siblings tonight and my mom is bringing a pizza for me to make them. I'm probably going to cry when I take it out of the oven and watch them eat it.

@asbromle, I think we should make caffeinated wine and bottle it.  I know I could find backers for that fabulous idea!

Even if it didn't taste good I'd still drink it.
  • @jackson290721 ...I'm sorry, I would cry too. :(
  • @Altima80 : worrying about a baby that has all of it's needs met & is simply sleeping is really pointless. How is worrying going to do anything?

Worrying about "good" behavior like sleeping will run you ragged. Heaven forbid you have actual trouble in the sleeping arena. You'd be a basket case.

Eta: I've tried to write more but it keeps getting erased

    1. We wouldn't even need to create caffeinated wine. We'd just need to sell speed with our wine. I have lots of Ritalin and Concerta. And boom, motherhood just have me a $1,000,000 raise. 2. Given the choice of making $1,000,000 a year or giving up pie, I'd volunteer to lose 25 IQ points ;)

Can I also say that after you ladies told me to chill and not stress about sleep my life and Riley's life have gotten better!

Putting her to sleep? Still makes me want to melon ball my brain out! How much and how often she sleeps? Fuggidaboutit!

    Yup.

Can I just say this, and please don't take it the wrong way because I'm sure part of you is really sad about going back to work?  But part of ME is really jealous that you're going back to work and your nap ninja will be tamed by DC.

    Totally get it.

If it makes you feel better my friends kid goes to sleep without issue for DC but still gives her hell. So there's a chance I'll still be Cobra Kai Mommy who must be defeated!

Oh FFS! Everyone needs to chill the fuck out. She's worried about her kid sleeping too much. Honestly, there have been days when I worried about that, too, especially when Muppet didn't eat as much as he normally does. I don't post about it here because I don't want to deal with the shitstorm that would rain down on my head, but I do worry about it. I also wonder if there are others in my same situation, but again, I don't post because someone on here would get pissy and then it would start a landslide of shit headed my way.

I don't get why it's okay to brag about how great your pumping session went, but not about how great your kid is at sleeping. Neither one of those things is really within your control. (Believe me, if I could control how much I milk I could produce, I would.) Yet, I don't go into those great pumping posts and say "I don't like you." because of I've never been able to pump much or because my milk is gone. Believe me, there are a few ladies on here (some in this very thread) who constantly AW how much they're able to pump that I would love to tell to "fuck off" but I don't because they are participating members of this board, not just a drive-by or a taker.

She's a FTM and she's concerned. She's also not a drive-by or someone who only takes from this board.

    Chill the fuck out.

And yes, I realize I'm white knighting for her right now, but JFC the hypocrisy in this thread pisses me off!
    Yes.

    I was like whoooooooa @Hilaboo86
The ironic part about this is I almost tagged you in my original post. hahahaha ;)

  • For the record I take ownership of my bad post, negative responses and all. I should have asked if too much sleep was a possibility. I definatly learned that I had nothin to worry about so thank you everyone.
Also, I only changed diaper size because he was ready for the next size. It was notable that his sleep doubled with the change.
I'm not crying or running away because of my unpopular post. I asked for your experiences and I got them, I can take the heat. I deserved it. I think if more people took responsibility for being naive or braggy the negative responses would seem more like constructive criticisms instead of just invalidating ones feelings. Just my humbled opinion. See you around
