Yesterday I ran some errands on lunch. I got home and had about 30 mins to relax. I fell asleep and ended up being 45mins late back to work. No one even noticed! I kept my lips sealed.

I am thinking about calling in sick tomorrow.

I have one more day to "use or lose" this year. Also, DD will be in daycare until 4 pm so I would have the day to myself.

I literally can't remember the last time that's happned (or if it's ever happened) and I am salavating at the thought of it.

@helenhhandbasket I took tomorrow off for me. I am getting my hair done, finishing up a few gifts, wrapping presents and cleaning a little. All with NO kids! Maybe try and sneak a nap in.

I am going to Canada for Christmas on Saturday. I realized yesterday that my passport is expired. I have always stayed on top of my documentation, and I can't believe I let this happen. Now I'm scrambling because I can't board a plane in the US with an expired passport. I'm working with the Canadian consulate in ATL to get a temporary one, which would mean taking tomorrow off work, driving the 2.5 hrs to ATL, and paying $300 for the expedited service.

If my request is denied, we have to drive 12 hours to make our connection in Toronto because I am allowed to drive across the border with just my birth certificate and regular photo ID. Then I'd have to drive 4 hours from my hometown to apply for a 24 hour expedited passport.

What a shitshow. I am so mad at myself and praying so hard I get a good call from my "connection" at the consulate in the next couple of hours.

I'm sick-ish. I had a fever of 101.4 last night and I'm achey. Otherwise no symptoms. Seema like my temp is normal today and i just feel blah. Seriously considering calling off tomorrow to get things done and relax a little. My next day off after today is Saturday and I have tons to wrap and bake for Xmas.

I didn't make cookies last week when DH asked me to. I told DH it was because we needed to watch what we ate.

I had eaten 4 cookies earlier at work that day. I watched those 4 cookies go straight into my mouth.

Holyyyy fuck..my kid is a whiney mess today. Hes currently crawling around the living room whining/crying for no reason. Or he's been grabbing at my pant legs trying to climb on me. But when I pick him up, hes still just fusses. I have no fucking clue what he wants today. I dont think HE even knows what he wants. I'm Stumped.

He's fed, changed, doesnt have a fever, and took a good nap this morning. Good god...I just may go nuts. I'd stick him in the car and venture out somewhere (that usually does the trick), but its currently snowing like a sonofabitch. Someone hold me.

My favorite song right now is "Let It Go" from Frozen. I've been watching the movie sequence on YouTube over and over and I'll continue to do so until I know all the words and can pretend to be Idina Menzel and sing it in the shower.

Also I'm considering pressuring Betsy to be a Disney cast member when she grows up because I think it would be the coolest job ever. In fact, with her hair, B would make a fantastic Elsa.

when DD was/is like that I usually tried orajel and or gas drops and if that didn't do the trick I would give a half dose of Tylenol. Sometimes kiddos are in pain and they can't tell you why.

I have so much to do today but I just don't feel like it. I was so busy this weekend and will be again starting Thursday. It is making me lazy and want to just stay curled up on the couch.

I need some motivation. Hopefully nap time Iwill be able to put some Christmas music on and get going!

Also, I am so freaking tired. DS is killing me with these wakeups. I think I have to do CIO when his nose clears up. And then a mom on my BMB wants to talk with moms who's LO's sleep through the night...she thinks something might be wrong because her LO has slept through the night since he was born. Ugh

We are planning to go in April. Our babysitter is taking vacation then so we are going out of town at the same time. We will be there a week. As of right not, I'm planning to see ALL THE THINGS. I need to narrow it down though.

Are you from there? Where should we go besides all the typical places?

That sounds fab. I live in a NYC suburb, but I work in Midtown. I would highly suggest Museum of Natural History and the Central Park Zoo. They have Polar bears.

Speaking of concerts, my confession is I love the fact that because my city has a pretty strict noise ordinance, concerts have to end at a decent hour. Not that we go to many anymore anyways, but it's nice that the law prevents headliners from taking their damn time getting started, etc.

Thanks for the good thoughts. Temp passport approved! It's going to cost a pretty penny and DH and I have to take time off work to make it happen, but I am so relieved.

i am so annoyed that we live close enough to the school that DD1 is a walker, yet is too young to walk herself home. so i have to clean off my car and shovel the driveway, wake up my sick three year old and my 7 month old from their naps, bundle them up since it is only 3 degrees out and dive a block and a half to go pick up DD1. what a fucking hassle.
