For all you "team green" ladies out there, do you have any hunches? Old wives tales/chinese gender predictor/etc? I know it's silly and that you have a 50% chance no matter what, but I was just wondering what you all thought -- or felt.

And for all you mamas that found out... did you have a feeling one way or the other and were you right?

We were team green with DD...I swore I was having a boy, but only because that's what I always imagined we would have first. Everyone told me I was having a boy except 3 people -- DH's aunt (who swears she has a 98% accuracy rate at guessing, haha), my SIL and a sweet, old bus boy at a restaurant we used to go to in our old neighborhood. While I was in labor, I grabbed DH's hand and said, "It's a girl!!" and, well, I guess I was right.

We are team green again the 2nd time around. This time it feels like we're having a boy. I can't explain it -- intuition? Now everyone (including the ones above) say boy, too, so I can only wonder. But... I was wrong the first time! So we shall see!

I thought *boy* from the beginning, and I was right! We found out last week we are indeed *team blue*. I don't think I'm patient enough to be team green.

I couldn't wait to find out. Chinese gender chart was the only predictor I used. It was right this time and for DS 1.

My mother, grandmother, and aunt all think its going to be a girl. My aunt and grandma both have bought the baby, girl clothes already. I have a feeling its going to be a girl but who knows. We find out in 2 weeks. I'm going to laugh so hard if its a boy. Even if I wanted to be team green I feel like I have to find out so my family can stop buying things if its not the right gender lol

With our first DD I was convinced we were having a boy, mostly because looking at DH's extended family girls are in the vast minority. I had myself convinced the u/s tech was going to say boy, and when she said girl I think I about fell off of the table!

With this one I was convinced we were having another girl and was right!

Very interesting how generations can change. My dad is one of 5 boys and had 2 daughters. DH is 1 of 3 boys and will now have 2 daughters. My BIL also is one of 2 boys and my little niece was born last January. They are now expecting again in July and my money is on another girl

With DD I had literally not a hunch at all. It was weird.

This time I'm convinced it's a boy and so is MH. I'll be shocked if it's a girl, but win-win either way

My first go around, I thought I was having a girl but I was wrong; DS is all boy. This time around, I had more morning sickness and just felt different. I was really sure this time it was a girl, and this time I was right. I am in awe of parents who are team green..... I don't have that kinda self control!

I wasn't team green, but always felt like I was having a boy, even when my ultrascreen results came back after 14 weeks and said girl. I never felt like I was having a girl. Then my 20 weeks scan told me my intuition was right! I was indeed having a boy!

@tryingyetagain, MH and I think it's the hardest around 18-22 weeks when we have the opportunity to find out but after that it eases up again. I know it's not for everyone. In fact I'm surprised I even do it! Everything else in my life is very structured and planned out!

I'm the exact same way, so it surprises everyone that I'm up for being team green!

I am also the same as you that I've been picturing a boy since before being pregnant. That doesn't really mean anything, and yet most folks in our lives seemto also think its a boy. Who knows? We will find out inMay!

We are team green and I honestly this early do not have a thought one way or the other currently. I looked at the chinese thing last week but since ours is a frozen embryo I didn't know if I should look at when the baby was made through IVF (girl) or then if after it thawed and implanted in me (boy) so really that only made me wonder about existential questions with ART and FETs.

We are team green but just about everyone has been convinced by MIL or thinks it's a boy. I honestly have no clue either way yet!

We all thought I was having a boy but found out I'm having a girl! As far as old wives tales, they were split down the middle almost exactly 50-50!

We're Team Green, but so far all but one person (a random guy at Home Depot) has guessed girl. Almost all of the old wives tales say girl as does the Chinese gender predictor. My husband and I think girl as well. Guess we'll find out in a few months.

First of all, we are team green! As much as I'm dying to know, because what mom-to-be wouldn't, I also think it's got to be the best surprise ever! We had out NT scan today and they obviously didn't tell us boy/girl, but I swear to you this little profile looks like a girl. And I've always had this intuition that I would have a girl first. Then again, I could be nuts and in June we'll know for sure and be surprised either way, but I def have a feeling. My ILs all say girl, my girl friends say boy, my sister said boy until she saw the pic from the u/s today and now says girl....so we'll see!

As for the Chinese gender chart, how did you ladies figure it out? Technically/scientifically baby was conceived in September, but we didn't do FET until October....so which month do we use??? I looked at the chart and one says girl the other says boy. I was 29 for the entirety of both months haha.

I just asked the same question...if you use when baby was technically conceived (ER/Fert timing), then aren't all of our babies/frosties the same gender according to this charts no matter when we transfer! haha!

RosyGlow I'm totally the same way, too! I'm Type-A 110%...I actually think it takes MORE willpower and type-A-ness to NOT find out, despite the constant "I'm a planner so I have to find out blah blah..." The fact that you know you can find out these days, it's so hard and takes a ton more control to say no when they ask vs. just letting them tell you.

The whole Chinese Gender chart totally confuses me. If I just plug in my information as they ask for it (age and conception date) then it says one thing, but if I change to my lunar age, which some say to do, then it says the other. So I guess it really does come down to 50/50!

The first time around it said girl. We were convinced boy after seeing the ultrasound. She looked JUST like my husband to the point where we said that it must be a boy! But she came out looking like a girly version of my husband lol.

The ultrasound this time looks like a big, chubby boy.

We shall see!
