help!! baby sits up in crib at naptime & can't seem to get down

DD just figured out how to get from lying on her belly into the sitting position, but now when I put her down to nap she sits up and cries. I don't think she has figured out how to lie back down. After 15 mins, I went in to lie her back down, but she just sat back up and cried some more--probably because I came in and didn't take her out!

Did you dc go through this? I know she'll figure it out eventually, but till then, what's the best thing to do? (Could she actually sleep sitting up??)

Mine does this sometimes. I just go in and lay DS back down and walk out...go back in again after 10 min and lay him back down, repeat. Not fun, but now I usually have to go in once.
